a lot of people, primarily women actually, are too afraid of being seen as taking sides and it results in having to make false equivalences so as not to appear “biased,” unaware that in doing so they actively repress the facts of a given situation. it’s not unlike those sexual harassment workplace videos where they portray a petite woman shoving a male linebacker against a wall to feel him up when we know this never happens. but we have to pretend it does because acknowledging a culture of male sexual aggression, in the workplace and in dating, is too woke and misandrist and it makes men feel targeted to hold them accountable for their brutish uncivilized behavior lmfao
