Biomass movement of @Ct_teunissen (PvdDieren) and @Wytskepostma (NSC) is in the cameras today!
➜ DISCOURAGE the import of woody biomass from abroad
➜ NO more new subsidies to be provided for woody biomass from abroad
“The House,
heard the deliberation,
contesting that a significant portion of the woody biomass in
The Netherlands is imported from abroad;
whereas the climate consultation indicates that the vast majority
of the Dutch population is against importing biomass from abroad;
shows that the import of woody biomass has led to destruction of nature and that biomass transport over a thousand kilometers requires an unnecessary amount of energy;
Therefore requests the government to discourage strongly the import of woody biomass from abroad
also requests the government not to provide new subsidies for
woody biomass from abroad,
And proceeds to the order of the day"
