It goes without saying that the first to the moon are the indigenous people. Everyone else is a colonizer.

35 years ago today, Clarence Thomas was confirmed to the U.S. Supreme Court by the Senate. Growing up in segregated Georgia, he rose to become one of the greatest Supreme Court justices in American history. The Court and our country are better off today because of him.

I was there...
Twenty-five years ago today. Brady’s first start. Bryan Cox levels Jerome Pathon. The Patriots blow out Peyton Manning and the Colts, 44-13. New England loses just three games the rest of the season.

"To be short, then, a whale is A SPOUTING FISH WITH A HORIZONTAL TAIL."
The most charitable interpretation of this passage is that the author has never read Moby-Dick, as it is often hilarious.

Just in the past 50 years, the Waltons were able to crush Main Street USA and then use those profits to corner the market on e-commerce and carve out a near-monopoly on three-day delivery.
I was thinking about why late-stage (whatever that is) Capitalism sucks and a big part is because all the established old money leverages its way into controlling and stifling new technologies and there are never any new success stories, only the old oligarchs getting richer and the tech barely advancing. Like how the Rockefellers, Rothschilds and DuPonts captured and controled Amazon, Apple, Google, and SpaceX while keeping them from innovating.

Congressman, I've been to Cuba. I was interrogated by communist henchmen in the middle of the night, at the age of 11; I was harrassed by teachers for being a Catholic, the goverment took our property and liberty. YOU know nothing abt Cuba. The Cuban govt takes you for a fool.
Today, on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, I questioned US Ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz about the United States' decades-long American embargo and current inhumane fuel blockade on Cuba.

One would think that the Biden administration’s hiding of a sitting president for two years (Biden did exactly zero solo press conferences his final year in office, same with Harris) would have warranted a similar request, but journalism posing as activism doesn’t allow for that.
Former ABC News correspondent Lisa Stark and 500 other journalists have formally requested the White House Correspondents Association "speak truth to power" and publicly criticize Trump's attack on media ... when they host Trump at Correspondents Dinner on Friday

No, I’m not Jewish. I was raised as an Irish Catholic. You don’t need to be Jewish to support Israel against Islamic jihad. You just need a moral compass.

And how much value, in the form of jobs and wages and productivity, did Brin create with Google? Not to mention, he and his family fled to the US from the USSR, where we learned quite enough about what redistribution really means: shared repression and immiseration.
Sergey Brin is worth $276 billion. He could save healthcare for 3 million people. Instead, he’s spending $82 million against California’s 5% billionaire wealth tax. He’d rather see low-income Americans die & suffer than pay his fair share of taxes. That is a moral obscenity.

The moment called for righteous anger. Lindsey brought it beautifully. Eternal rest, grant to him O Lord.
I disagreed with Senator Lindsey Graham on a number of issues, but this is how I am going to choose to remember him. Fighting for the confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Lindsey 2.0 was something else. RIP.

South Carolina lost a statesman and I’ve lost a friend. My prayers are with his sister and the rest of his family. From his humble beginnings to the Senate floor, Lindsey always led with faith, family, and South Carolina first. Lindsey remained committed to public service and doing what he loved. He always introduced levity and brought wit to the most challenging moments. Lindsey will be missed.

Today, Jennifer and I join all South Carolinians in mourning the passing of my friend, Senator Lindsey Graham. For more than three decades, Lindsey dedicated his life to serving South Carolina and our nation. From his service in the United States Air Force to the U.S. House and the United States Senate, he never stopped fighting for the people he was elected to represent. His love for South Carolina was unmistakable, and he carried our state’s values with him everywhere he went. I’ve been blessed to know Lindsey for many years. Behind the tough, relentless advocate the public saw was someone with an incredible sense of humor and an infectious laugh. He could fill a room with stories, make you laugh when you needed it most, and somehow find the right joke even in the middle of the most serious conversations. That wit was matched by an unwavering loyalty to his friends and a generosity that many people never saw. Lindsey lived a remarkable life of service, but what I’ll remember most is the friend I had the privilege to know. His counsel, his encouragement, and the countless conversations we shared over the years are memories I will always treasure. Jennifer and I are praying for Lindsey’s sister, Darline, his family, his many close friends, and the dedicated members of his staff who became like family throughout his years of service. We pray that God surrounds them with His peace, comfort, and strength in the difficult days ahead. Rest in peace, my friend. Thank you for your lifetime of faithful service to South Carolina and the United States of America. You left an indelible mark on our state, and your legacy will endure for generations to come.
