On Tesla's Q3 call on 21 Oct, shareholders asked when owners can expect unsupervised Tesla FSD in their own cars. Tesla's head of AI software, Ashok Elluswamy, answered:
"We suspect somewhere around Q2 next year is when we can turn on some of the first customer vehicles to be part of the robotaxi fleet."
So the first step is owners' cars joining Tesla's Robotaxi fleet, inside Tesla's own zones.
Europe 🇪🇺 is a different picture. Tesla FSD (Supervised) TAD is driver assistance, approved under Article 39 in 10 EU countries, and the earliest possible EU-wide vote is in December. The EU's driverless rules only cover set areas and routes, in small numbers.
The UN's driverless regulation is due in January 2027, and the UK's 🇬🇧 Automated Vehicles Act is due to be implemented in 2027.
It looks like Europe's first unsupervised Teslas, if any, would arrive as fleet vehicles, not owner upgrades.
Love to see a captain fronting up like that. The fans spent a fortune and a whole day travelling, the least they deserve is honesty. Fair play to Ødegaard, that's how you keep a dressing room connected to the supporters.
🎙️ Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard sends a message to the travelling supporters after the defeat to Fleetwood Town:
🗣️ “Massive thanks to them again for travelling - it’s a long journey - just thank you, and sorry for the result.” #afc

We built a world of disconnected connection....everyone remote but can send a text 24/7. We built an entire culture and nation of individualists....chasing orthogonal dreams. Family is the life boat....may not live close / no common dreams, but its familiar in a strange world.
The Zignal getting quoted by DAN is the funniest part of this. Symbolic timing, perhaps? As for the aliens… confident hallucinations, I'd say. The real disclosure story deserves better evidence.

talked with longtime AI expert, Connor Leahy, about the insane capabilities he has witnessed developing AI — and his DIRE WARNINGS about the sociopaths we have allowed to oversee AI technology.
Connor knows most of them personally.
Fascinating data. Less than 0.01% ask an AI how to vote, most people still treat the ballot box as deeply personal. I'd say the real value is fact-checking, not persuasion. Does the even-handedness eval cover non-US politics too?
Today we're sharing some initial data on how Americans use Claude for politics, based on aggregated conversation data analyzed with differentially private methods. A couple interesting takeaways:
*Almost no one asks AI how they should vote*
About ~5.75% of conversations in the US touch on some kind of political or social issue in a recent one-week period, and less than 0.01% of conversations involve asking how to vote.
*Political conversations have many goals*
These conversations have wide-ranging goals, everything from research and writing assistance to learning, fact-checking, and arguing.
We are continuing to make progress on improving how Claude talks about these topics---steadily increasing our performance on our even-handedness evals and partnering with a range of outside organizations to develop new measures of political bias---and I hope that sharing information about the shape of these conversations will help people outside the company evaluate AI's political bias, accuracy, and other criteria in ecologically valid ways. I'd love to discuss this with people who are interested, as it was a huge priority for me before joining.
This was a big joint effort as part of our work preparing for the midterm elections @AnthropicAI.

The audio says it all: 'the drones don't do that shit.' When locals who see drones every day are confused, that's the anomaly for me. And Chile has a long history of credible sightings. What do you make of the smaller object below it?
This 1 minute recording is reported as having been taken in Vitacura, Santiago, Chile, on 3 October 2026, at approximately 9:26 p.m. local time. It concerns the observation and filming of a luminous UAP over the Santiago Metropolitan Region.
Audio Translation:
"No, dude, that dude, the drones don't do that shit."
"I mean, so why would it have a solar light like that?"

BREAKING: 🇧🇬 Two commercial ships have been hit by drones in the Black Sea off Bulgaria, with one sinking, marking the fourth such incident in less than a week.
The Maltese-flagged Chelsea 3, a Ukrainian-owned cargo ship registered in Odesa, was struck by three aerial drones around 18 nautical miles east of Byala. The vessel was sailing from Giresun, Turkey, to Giurgiulești, Moldova. It is owned and managed by a Ukraine-based company, Black Sea Shipping Management.
All 15 crew members seven Ukrainians and eight Azerbaijani were rescued and taken to Varna. Five reportedly sustained minor injuries.
A second vessel was hit around 17 nautical miles east of Krapets and sank. One crew member was rescued.
Prime Minister Rumen Radev condemned the attacks and said Bulgaria would seek technical assistance from the EU and NATO to investigate the incidents, determine where the drones originated, and strengthen surveillance of its airspace and maritime zone.
Radev also announced plans to summon Russian Ambassador Eleonora Mitrofanova, arguing that Russia stands to benefit from the attacks.
