I'd also find the first trees on Mars. Probably off the first tee.

Seems like a lot of men are waking up and saying, "Yeah, I'm done with this."

Yeah! Also, THIS IS HURTFUL TO THE IRISH AMONG US.

It's a pattern over time. And it is something of a Rorschach, yes.

Also, this is the one I meant to QT:

I'm sure you can imagine how frustrating it would be if every time you made a friend, they secretly were trying to date you, and the friendship was a means to that end.

The point is that she keeps rejecting nice guys that she gets along well with because she's waiting for "the one".

"Onee-san" (older sister) isn't meant literally here. It describes a girl older than you, but not a lot older, and not necessarily related. Your friend's older sister would also be "onee-san" to you.

Unfortunately, I'm now single again. 😑😱
Man, I hope there's one more chopper.

This exactly. And if helps every other part of your life too.

It's a spectator sport in parts of Pennsyltucky. @nightowlnomore can confirm.

Exactly. If that's how it is in the beginning, what will it be like when it inevitably slows down?

I think a lot of people haven't really thought about what they want in any more than surface-level details. For a lot of people everything is "maybe".
Marriage? Maybe someday. But isn't marriage, like, a patriarchal institution?
Kids? IDK, maybe. But isn't the world already, like, overpopulated?
Buy a house? Eh, we'll figure it out someday. But nobody can afford a house anyway, so whatevs.
They don't really *want* anything - they're waiting for things to fall into place. In many cases they've been told that wanting the things people have wanted for 5000 years is "evil" and "patriarchal" and "bad for the planet".
This whole mindset is a foreign concept to me.

The one by me just got renovated. So did another one nearby, and it was just built maybe 10 years ago.

How can you ever improve if you don't know you need to?
I can understand not wanting to make someone feel bad, but you can offer constructive criticism without burying someone.

And guys can pick up on that. These are the same type of guys she rejected 5 years ago. Why are they suddenly good enough now?
