[OPINION] Record fuel prices are more than a motoring concern – they threaten access to jobs, education and essential services. AA CEO Bobby Ramagwede calls for fuel tax cuts and urgent action to ease the pressure. #Moneyweb #FuelPrice ow.ly/K3MH50ZZbkU

I was having a conversation with someone in the financial industry who was bemoaning that the number of South Africans who can afford to retire remains stubbornly at 6%, despite all of the efforts being put into financial education. Well, the good news is that these figures look set to change. mayaonmoney.co.za/good-news-…

Vat, personal and corporate income tax deliver almost 80% of tax collected, so why do we need ‘all those other taxes’ that make it harder to do business? #Moneyweb ow.ly/cnmJ50ZXS5m

The RAF is in crisis. It receives more than R50bn a year from taxpayers, primarily through a fuel levy paid by motorists, yet its liabilities exceed R400bn. #Moneyweb ow.ly/122W50ZWHHE

How can any government serious about jobs let in so many asylum seekers. Once they get their paperwork, they qualify for grants, they use the clinics, they send their children to government schools. All paid for by the abused South African taxpayer.

Why should the President remind municipalities to carry out their basic responsibilities, such as fixing street lights and cutting grass ? What are municipal officials and councillors being paid for? @PresidencyZA @NationalCoGTA @SALGA_Gov #GBVF

Kempton Park SAPS has 54 detectives managing 6,744 cases. That's 102 cases per detective. 3 patrol vehicles for 6 sectors. They were set up to fail. And women paid with their lives. Where was the outrage BEFORE the bodies piled up? But some how your politicians who spend their time drinking and looting have more than 5 escort cars

There have been numerous times in Cyril Ramaphosa's political career as an ANC member where he promised us jobs. Let me just give you a list of the recent ones: 1. January 2019: Promised to create roughly 257,000 jobs per year as part of the ANC's economic strategy. 2. October 2020: Announced a COVID-19 economic recovery plan targeting 800,000 to 875,000 jobs and work opportunities in the 2020/21 financial year. 3. February 2022: Promised in the SONA to finalize a social compact within 100 days to grow the economy and create jobs. 4. February 2024: Promised to create or support 2.5 million "job opportunities" over a five-year period during the launch of the ANC's 2024 election manifesto. 5. Recurring SONAs: Labour and political analysts note that specific job targets and commitments have been reiterated in nearly every annual State of the Nation Address since he took office in 2018. All those promises were not met. Cyril is a liar. He gives false hope for votes.

Ten women.
Don’t forget: nine women were murdered in Ekurhuleni - and only two killings have resulted in arrests.

A man threatens to murder women who apparently rejected his advances, suggesting his wealth will protect him. With @SAPoliceService renewing its commitment to tackling GBV after the discovery of murdered women in Ekurhuleni, this will test how serious that commitment really is.
This happened at a restaurant in Sandton, JHB.
