💸 If you’re hoping to get $1M from Trump for reporting voting fraud, you might be disappointed.
Not even the multiple election deniers Trump hired to find evidence of fraud came up with anything.
That’s because voter fraud is actually incredibly rare: demdock.com/4jE80Gu

What’s behind the 100-year sea level record broken in Southern California?
It’s the perfect storm, without an actual storm! Let’s explain… 🌊
Ocean levels near Long Beach reached 8.02 feet, the highest recorded at the nearby Los Angeles Harbor tide gauge since records began in 1923!
Even more remarkable: Sea levels are running almost 2 feet above predicted astronomical tides!
So why is the ocean so high?
1. FULL MOON: High astronomical tides are helping push ocean levels toward their monthly peaks.
2. RECORD OCEAN HEAT: An extraordinary marine heatwave is warming and “expanding” ocean water, raising sea levels.
3. EL NIÑO KELVIN WAVE: A recent ocean wave has helped elevate sea levels along the California coast.
4. LONG-TERM SEA-LEVEL RISE: Decades of warming and melting land ice have raised the baseline by ~foot, making flooding more likely.
5. LUNAR CYCLES: Longer-term changes in the Moon’s orbit are amplifying this season’s highest astronomical tides.
BOTTOM LINE: Southern California is experiencing historic coastal flooding without a major storm! El Nino, climate change, and big lunar tides are to blame. And even higher astronomical tides are expected later this fall/ winter.

I've experienced FSD and I loved it. But I also like driving. I think our generation (people driving now) will struggle with this transition to autonomy. There will be resistance. Far too much nostalgia.
My children (9 and 5) will probably never drive. I am grateful for that.

Planchet, my Grok Bot is promoted to fully-fledged team member. He has access to all our thinking (research, emails, models, slack, industry data), he is incredibly resourceful - a mesmerizing get-it-done attitude, ultra-fast, receptive with feedback. It is mind-blowing.

I estimate around 10k cars needed to cover the entirety of the ridesharing market in Austin and 240,000 rider hours (10k cars x 24 hrs/day). This includes additional cars to cover for downtime/peaks in demand.
This assumes 0.065 cars/population on a metro population of 2.6M, with the average trip lasting 6 miles and the average ridesharing vehicle doing 150 miles/day.
So by this math, and since Tesla is operating 19 hrs/day (6AM to 1 AM), at 1051 vehicles, Tesla currently has a ~20k rider hours out of 240k rider hours, or 8% market share.
What the holy fucking fuck?!?! 🤬🤬🤬
Trump is a genocidal maniac - we need to be drastically *cutting* emissions, not giving fossil fuel companies a free pass!

ARC Prize President @GregKamradt explains why AI researchers could be among the last jobs automated:
"AI is very good at executing what you want it to do. It’s not very good at coming up with ideas. It’s not very good at coming up with hypotheses."
"We tried to make ARC-AGI-3 games with AI-generated ideas, and they’re all crap. They lacked the special substance about what we wanted."
"On the recent podcast with Dwarkesh, he was asking, what’s the last job people are gonna have? It was along the lines of AI researcher, because AI researcher’s gonna be the one to pose the good questions."
"A really good benchmark tests how well you’re able to come up with good questions, how well you’re able to come up with good hypotheses, with an uncapped ceiling."
"If you think about what society has done over the last thousand years, there’s no ceiling to the progress we’ve had. Clearly there’s a really good uncapped benchmark out there, and it’s our job to go and find it."

The largest math proof in human history is now computer-verified.
Today, Axiom announces a complete Lean auto-formalization of the Classification of Finite Simple Groups, the "periodic table of symmetry."
About 15,000 pages, built by over 100 mathematicians across generations.

Verified AI just had its greatest month.
A swarm of AI agents just did what no mathematician could do alone: check every step of the longest proof in history.
For 40+ years, mathematicians have built on the Classification of Finite Simple Groups without anyone being able to check it alone.
Axiom’s AI agent swarm just did it in 24 days, turned 15,000 pages across 500+ papers into 38M+ lines of machine-verified code. And it also uncovered 34 serious discrepancies in the published record.

I understand cancer deeply, down to the molecular level & I claim that AI will cure all cancer, along with every other disease, for that matter. And when that happens, this hematologist will be out of job, has a good reason to be worried! After all, no cancer, no cancer doctors!
Replying to @spenley

My friend Jason Scott Warren attended a lecture about climate change from former U.K. Chief Scientist @Sir_David_King last night.
He says Sir David talked of the the real possibility of billions of deaths by midcentury. Yes, read that again. That’s just under 25 years. That would mean global collapse essentially - of the global economy, of society. How old will your children be then?
I understand that the establishment just listen to each other and not to scientists, but the gamble they are taking is a crime in itself. It is massively reckless and irresponsible.
People like @LordAshcroft @DavidGHFrost @afneil @mickbooker of GB News etc have decided the worlds most respected scientists are wrong and that they know better, despite having no scientific training in climate science at all.
It is madness that they won’t even speak to these scientists. I don’t think I’ve ever been aware of anything more illogical or reckless in my life.
