Oct 7th was horrific and an unprecedented, but saying it's the largest massacre of us Jews since the Holocaust is just historically inaccurate. The largest massacre of Jews after WWII was so large that it took 7 straight years, disappearing 3000 Jews in Argentina. During that time, Israel was arming the same pro-Nazi, anti-left Argentine forces while they hunted and tortured Jews and served as a safe haven for escaped Nazis. And you must also overlook the murder and starvation of 4000 Ethiopian Jews. The survivors? Israel secretly forced contraception on them in a eugenics campaign which reduced birthrates 50% over 10 years. They also threw away the blood donations from Ethiopian Jews and killed, imprisoned and brutalized Ethiopian Jews like Solomon Teka for the crime of being Black. So you can technically say it was the largest "single day" massacre, but then you'd still be comparing a massacre of 6M (almost all civilians) to one of 1000+ (including many apartheid soldiers, and many people Israel also likely killed using the Hannibal Directive) as somehow adjacent which (purposefully or accidentally) fans the flames of genocide of Palestinians with emotional manipulation. And further, you'd be exposing another type of implicit or explicit bigotry by ignoring 100 years of the biggest slaughters of Palestinians before and after Oct 7. Almost always also ignoring completely the Palestinians who were bombed from above while they slept the night of Oct 7th. Mourn every innocent life, no matter which side of the fake borders they were born in, their religion or their ethnicity. Condemn attacks on all civilians. But don't fall for the hasbara narrative attempting to short circuit your brain to promote a genocide. And one that simply doesn't count left Jews as Jews, or Black Jews as Jews.
