🚨 BREAKING: Henry Nowak’s killer Vickrum Digwa has minimum term increased from 21 years to 25 years. • Vickrum Digwa’s minimum jail term for murdering 18-year-old Henry Nowak has been raised from 21 years to 25 years by the Court of Appeal • Judges ruled the original sentence was unduly lenient • They refused Digwa permission to appeal against the increased term • Digwa was convicted of stabbing Nowak to death in Southampton in December 2025 after a chance encounter • The case drew widespread attention after Digwa falsely claimed he was the victim of a racist attack, resulting in the dying teenager being handcuffed by police • The Attorney General had referred the sentence after highlighting Digwa’s post-attack conduct, including filming the victim and involving his mother in disposing of the weapon
