Btw Tesco's profit margin is 2.53pc Imagine turning over 50k in sales and at the end of the year you're left with £1,265 (which is then taxed)
Tesco profits shot up from £883m to £2.3bn. An extra £1.4bn+ in profit while families STRUGGLE to afford basic groceries. It’s not a cost-of-living crisis, it’s a cost-of-greed crisis—backed by government INACTION! 🛑

A heated exchange reportedly took place outside the court where Russell Brand was found guilty of rape and sexual assault. His lawyer, Ian Winter, confronted a journalist who worked on the initial 'Dispatches' documentary that first alleged crimes by Brand. "I hope you are pleased with yourself," Winter said. "I'm pleased justice has been done," she was heard responding. "Well, it wasn't. You f***ed it," Winter replied. Brand's defense said reporters had "poisoned the well of justice" by prompting accusers to speak up. 🔗: hollywoodreporter.com/news/g…

The best news today is that he will stop being referred to as “the comedian” and will now use the new title of “convicted rapist”.

Just been sat on my mums ward and a big fat nurse walks in and my mum goes “She’s a looker ain’t she?” At the volume of the truly elderly.🤦‍♂️

“He didn’t rape me so he can’t have raped anyone else” What a fucking dumb take.
Russell Brand saved me in his phone as ‘Nincompoop’. I emailed his lawyer. Offered to be a character witness. Never heard back. Unlike most, I’ve not spoken publicly about this since the criminal charges, out of respect for the legal process. Even had my profile on private for the entirety of the trial, so that this post couldn’t be seen or shared. Was this a fair trial? Can I still respect due process? Has the trial by media prejudiced the jury? Why did no-one in the comedy industry warn me? Why didn’t the alleged victims come forward during ‘me too’? Why did comedian Alfie Brown tell me he likes Russell, rode shot gun with me in the Brand Wagon and later said on stage "we all knew." (He started saying this AFTER journalists started poking around)? Also how is Alfie Brown saying "we all knew" on stage to THOUSANDS of people, not contempt of court? Alfie told me he knows one of the alleged victims and this is true, because the story he told me was repeated in the court. I don’t understand how the jury could be beyond a reasonable doubt. The women should have gone to the police at the time, if they believed they had been assaulted. Call me a nincompoop, but I think these questions are valid. Somethings just not adding up.

Remember how Ed Miliband cosied up to Russell Brand in his home in the run-up to the 2015 election. Even at the time, Brand had a terrible reputation. But Ed thought it was the best way to reach the youth vote. He is now Andy Burnham's choice of Foreign Secretary.

Russell Brand is NOT a rapist. This is political persecution plain and simple. Sickening.

When you pay close attention to the news you see how much rape is background noise due to its prevalence in society. Yet the person who gets demonised the most by the #BeKinds is a woman who is simply saying females need spaces where they can breathe, away from the male threat.

This sounds like an answer from a comedy card game where you have to make a sentence from random phrases.

Misogyny is such a fascinating exercise in illogical reasoning. A male pilot jumps to his death, and a female student pilot successfully lands a plane in an emergency. Nobody questions whether men should be allowed to fly. But let a woman who wasn’t even piloting scream in an emergency, and suddenly she’s evidence that women shouldn’t be pilots. A man’s failure is an individual tragedy. A woman’s fear becomes an indictment of her entire gender.
A student pilot successfully landed a plane by herself after her instructor jumped to his death mid-flight She said her instructor told her "You know what to do" before leaping from the aircraft

At what point do we stop focusing on who needs to pay more tax and start asking where all of our tax money is going.
