at work an engineer got let go because he spent 5 years pushing dogshit code as a kind of job security dead man switch. called him to check in. he sounded smug, thinking i was calling to beg him to come back at double pay to fix the code. no dude, AI fixed your code in 5 minutes

The bottleneck for iOS dev is truly the CPU now. It's hard to work on features in parallel and testing if the app is compiled locally.

One of Triumph’s most productive engineers has TikTok and Cookie Clicker open while coding. I used to think he was always distracted but every time I approached him, he was waiting on AI, tests, etc. And in the end he gets stuff done. Chad IDE is perfect for him.
