More protein from plants. People won’t like it - but … data > feelings @BioLayne
The American Heart Association recommends getting protein from plants—rather than meat—and avoiding full-fat dairy. on.wsj.com/4m0X3h6

Across trials, genetic variants, and longitudinal studies, the more LDL goes down, the lower the risk of heart disease falls.
The evidence on this is extremely clear: get LDL down and heart disease risk declines with it.

Totally agree. And believe it or not, that's actually probably part of why they are a healthy replacement for more ancestral fats like animal fat. Appealing to the food's novelty to make arguments against its healthfulness just reveals your ignorance about how evolution works.

Yikes, nice non-argument @Nero.
Please tell me: why would defending innocent sentient beings from being holocausted by monsters like you not be a worthwhile thing to do with one’s life?

Incredible that this is still an unpopular opinion in 2025, but:
Animal agriculture should be abolished, and not being vegan (i.e., being an animal abuser) should be illegal.
It’s goddamn time we stop holocausting innocent sentient beings for sandwiches.

i would prefer if goat fucking was cruelty free, but i would not forgo those traditions to prove my morals. it's just too inconvenient"

Will keep that in mind, when you're getting preyed upon by a predator and begging for help.

You left out the most important part, which is that its wide-scale adoption has the potential to end the largest holocaust of the innocent in human history. Right now, people like you pay others to do unspeakably evil things to animals so that you can eat parts of them. In a world where lab-grown meat is adopted at scale, that sort of stuff probably doesn't happen anymore.

The furtive smuggling in of causal language like "quietly heals", "are healers", etc. is problematic when causality in such cases has not been established.
If 'heal' just means attend to them in some manner regardless of whether such attention caused an improvement, then sure🤷

We just published a critical review of the KETO-CTA study — the first study to examine coronary plaque progression in Lean Mass Hyper-Responders (LMHRs) on a ketogenic diet.
Here’s why we believe the study’s results have been seriously misrepresented.

Why are all influencers absolute pieces of shit? They’re all the same, love to virtue signal and get clout points but when it comes to actually being a decent human being and not being a holocaust supporter, they don’t give a fuck bc veganism isn’t popular & wont give them clout

🚨 New paper out in @NatureFoodJnl!
We found that combining a higher quantity and greater diversity of dietary flavonoids may offer the best boost to long-term health—more than either alone.

Imagine claiming to value criticism, saying you search high and low for arguments that defeat your positions, and insisting that you welcome anything that undercuts your views. Yet, you block one of your strongest critics. These are not serious people.

Nah, it’s still wrong for fish to eat other fish (predation should be abolished).
But since you want to imitate the behavior of wild animals, do you sign off on cannibalism, eating offspring, torture and rape since that behavior can be found in the animal kingdom as well, Greg?
