95% of Employees Under Union Contracts Never Voted for IT! Though 95 percent of currently unionized workers have never voted for the union that represents them, union bosses have generally felt the need to pay lip service to the idea that, at least at one point in the past, a majority of workers expressed a preference for union affiliation. No longer. Today, just around one in 10 workers are unionized. A Gallup poll shows the vast majority of non-union workers are β€œnot interested at all” in joining a labor union. townhall.com/columnists/mark…

This "analysis" is from the Ludwig Institute for Economic Analysis, a crank activist outlet best known for their "True Rate of Unemployment" which classifies part-time workers as unemployed, regardless of whether they want full-time jobs (most don't).

Recent inflation has pushed food prices up, but over the long-term, food has become far more affordable. In 1930, Americans spent nearly a quarter of their disposable income on food. In 2024, they spent around 11 percent.

This chart shows really well the path the UK economy and society are on. Higher taxes throttle the UK’s growth, investment and innovation. When the tax take rises faster than the economy, returns on risk-taking shrink, capital becomes scarcer and incentives to build something new weaken. Countless entrepreneurs, founders and high-skill workers are already leaving or planning to. What’s the left’s response? They seriously demand a wealth tax. A wealth tax would accelerate that flight. International experience and recent UK analysis show such a levy is fragile, a small number of departures can erase most of the projected yield, while the long-term damage to investment and dynamism is real. Far from solving the fiscal gap, it risks shrinking the tax base. Spending is exploding. Welfare caseloads have swollen by millions since the mid-2010s, β€žhealthβ€œ-related claims alone rise by roughly a thousand people every working day, and out-of-work benefit numbers now stand near unbelievable 6.7 million. The UK does not have a revenue problem, tax as a share of GDP is already at multi-decade highs and still climbing. It has a spending problem. Restoring a culture in which most people of working age expect to work for a living, rather than depend on an ever-expanding welfare state, is the only sustainable route back to fiscal health and stronger growth. Why is it deemed inappropriate to expect people to work for life?

Under capitalism, you can spend your entire life publicly criticizing capitalism, writing books against it, and selling anti-capitalist merch for a profit. Under communism, writing a single private pamphlet criticizing the party gets you sent to a forced labor camp or put against a wall. The sheer tolerance of freedom vs. the fragile cowardice of tyranny.

Your vote this year isn't just about red vs. blue. It's about stopping the Radical Left socialist surge that is threatening to destroy America. You simply can't trust a party that won't vote to condemn socialism. VOTE EARLY. VOTE REPUBLICAN.

"Big Oil" knew, and knows, nothing particular about climate. As usual, Senator Outhouse is just full ofπŸ’©. What's not full of it is Big Oil, which keeps our society alive.
Big Oil used to pretend climate change wasn’t real – then they pretended they were part of the solution. 🧡 aaronregunberg.substack.com/…
