There's probably not a knockdown argument here, but I feel like there's a kind of dilemma for anthropocentrism. If you lean heavily on intellection, human value ends up continuous with machines. If you lean heavily on experience, human value ends up continuous with animals.
On the one hand, it's probably good for me that AIs are being made without an id bc it means there's *something* (pornographic and/or hateful speech) that remains exclusively my job as a human.
otoh it feels like kind of a wrong we're doing to them, yk
