Every day I'm thankful that Sekiro exists. I don't know what possesed Miyazaki to make it, but I'm glad he did Still their most unique game and the one with the most focus. They had a clear vision, and executed it pretty much perfectly

It's interesting that in the chaotic years birthed from men's desperate search to immortality. The one actual immortal person was mentally gone, effectively wasting his "gift" by sulking in his misery. Showing how death isn't limited to the physical cessation of biological life.

"x group of people are always like this" is always gonna be a form of bigotry even when it's not race, sex, gender or any other politically relevant identities. The basic logic is still the same where you generalise people into stereotypes and don't see them as individuals.

souls games biggest flaw is that standard enemies basically never matter. you can run through all of them they don’t have the proper speed, aggression and placement to cause any friction for the player and you can also comfortably get by only leveling up via souls from bosses.
