Every method of pressure needs to be put on Israel to force it to end its genocide. If "responsibility to protect" meant anything all, there would be an international force landing on the beaches of Gaza to repel Israel and defend Palestinians. counterpunch.org/2025/07/24/…
Israel's propagandists are paid to spew vile racism. They are also so fragile the mere sight of Palestinians sends them into a crying fit.

Watch this.
Lubna Speitan, author of the Greens4Palestine motion “Zionism is racism”, spells out the central obscenity of our age – the grotesque inversion whereby the victims of ethnic cleansing, Apartheid and genocide must constantly fend off accusations from their tormentors that it is they who are the racists.
“We as Palestinians are being silenced and gaslit and vilified [as we] witness the annihilation, the cold-blooded murder of our families, of our people… our children burnt with phosphorus, having to endure amputations with no anaesthetic, having their limbs torn and shredded, their bodies burnt by phosphorus, being starved to death … And to have to sit here … and try to bury my feelings so I can eloquently and diplomatically shield my anger, my rage, my anguish that every Palestinian is feeling, is an insult.” /1

“You take the victim and make the victim the perpetrator.” I hear versions of this argument a lot but it doesn’t make any sense. No category of person is fixed through history as one or the other. Many (most?) have taken a turn as both victim and perpetrator depending on context.
“To accuse the Jewish people of genocide is wild.”

Just listen to this.
Then consider these polls:
76% of Jewish Israelis think there are no innocents in Gaza (Aug 2025)
82% support expelling Palestinians from Gaza (May 2025)
47% support killing all inhabitants of conquered enemy cities (May 2025)

I know of no other place on earth where the shooting of two soldiers leads to the displacement of 2000 people who had no connection to the shooting other than being in the neighbourhood.

As reputable news outlet, I would certainly hope Drop Site News would knowingly publish "illegally" obtained classified CIA intelligence, as would any serious journalist if the information was in the public interest.
Did @DropSiteNews knowingly publish illegally obtained classified CIA intelligence?
On October 5, the outlet co-published Aída Chávez’s story claiming a secret CIA assessment warned Israel could descend into civil war.
That date is now in an FBI leak affidavit🧵

I’d be a little more sympathetic to these cloying rejections of “violence” from liberals if they dropped comparable 300 word statements decrying it every time an Israeli murders two Palestinians.
But they don’t, of course. That would mean 10 statements a day. And there’s the rub
I’m grieving the deaths of the two Israeli soldiers killed in Hebron today, and praying for the full & speedy recovery of those who were injured.
I’ve spoken out loudly this week against Israel’s occupation of the West Bank, which imposes violence on a daily basis, and I will continue to do so. But violence is not the path to ending it — or to achieving safety, freedom, and peace for both Palestinians and Israelis.
And neither is collective punishment or ethnic cleansing of an entire neighborhood, or punishing millions of people for the criminal act of two, which Netanyahu has promised to enact in response.
I’ve seen a lot this week and I’ll have more to say about in the coming days (I’m on my way home shortly). There is a path to ending this excruciating cycle of violence. It starts by insisting that every life is sacred, that everyone is created in God’s image.
For now: Shabbat Shalom, to everyone who believes in the hard work of making peace & justice a reality, for everyone.

Ed, nobody disputes that antisemitism must be confronted.
But if you're putting IHRA into British schools, people deserve to understand what it actually contains.
Its examples specifically reference Israel - including: describing its existence as a "racist endeavour", applying "double standards" to Israel, comparing Israeli policy to the Nazis and holding Jews collectively responsible for Israel's actions.
Yet IHRA also says criticism of Israel comparable to criticism of any other country is not antisemitic.
So why does a definition of antisemitism need such extensive Israel-specific examples in the first place?
Israel is a foreign state. Its government and policies should be open to the same political scrutiny as any other government.
A child wearing a Free Palestine badge isn't automatically antisemitic. Supporting Palestinian rights isn't antisemitic. Criticising Israel isn't antisemitic.
Fight hatred of Jews. Absolutely. But don't turn political criticism of Israel into a disciplinary issue in British classrooms.
An Israeli strike killed a woman in Gaza, as her daughter watched her burn alive. Video has been circulating all day, you can hear the little girl cry and see her engulfed in smoke.
I can’t find headlines in Western media *because* the story is horrific. They want you to forget.
But if she openly supported Israel’s genocide against Palestinians there would be no problem. Think about that.

BREAKING: Elon Musk has poured more than $275 million into Republicans’ fight to keep control of Congress, all since July, per FT
That makes him by far the largest known donor in the midterms.
Where it went:
$158 million to the Senate Leadership Fund, the main super PAC backing GOP Senate candidates
$76 million to his own America PAC
$20 million to the Congressional Leadership Fund, the top House GOP super PAC
$10 million to the Republican Governors Association
$2 million to the Republican Attorneys General Association
The $158 million alone is one of the largest political donations in U.S. history, and more than the Democrats’ rival Senate super PAC raised from all its donors that quarter.

I see WaPo is still doing the most glaring double standard of all: saying the Gaza death toll “does not distinguish between civilians and combatants” literally right after citing the Oct 7 death toll which, very conspicuously, does not distinguish between civilians and combatants
