My opponent talks a lot about taxes, but you’ll notice he never explains why our property taxes keep going up — in spite of all the promises.
Year after year, Republicans have defunded our schools. We’re literally paying the price with higher property taxes.
Local property taxes go up when the state sends less money to school districts and local governments, and they have to close their funding gaps. The state used to be an equal partner in school funding, and property taxes were low. Not anymore!
As your Lt. Governor, I will raise the basic allotment and take pressure off our property taxes by spending the tax money we have already collected. Let’s end the cycle.

A couple days ago, I posted jobs numbers from the past 6 presidents, 3 Republican (Bush I, Bush II, and Trump) and 3 Democratic (Clinton, Obama, and Biden). Over 20 years, nearly 50 million jobs were added under the 3 Democratic presidents, whereas only 2 million have been added under the aforementioned Republicans, over the course of 17 years, 8 months. A good percentage of MAGA responders said something along the lines of, "The Democrat Party only added government jobs! Look at the private sector!"

It should never be forgotten that Ken Paxton was a leader in the coup to nullify the election of Joe Biden. He filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court to challenge the 2020 election results in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin even though he was the AG for Texas. His suit was quickly tossed by the Court. On January 7th Paxton claimed the insurrection of the previous day was the work of antifa. This lie was quickly disproven.
On the 7th 46 state attorneys general disavowed the violence of the 6th in a letter to the Acting Attorney General of the U.S. A few days later three more AGs sent their own letter in condemning the violent insurrection. Only Ken Paxton failed to sign either letter.
