Yesterday Microsoft opened buyouts to about 60,000 employees, 27% of its staff.
From January to June it got 1,913 H-1B filings certified for workers new to the company, up 39% on the same months of 2025. 1,112 were for software engineering.

Job cuts for 3 major financial firms in one week. Barclays. American Express. Now Generali.
Italy’s Generali $G.MI is cutting 800 jobs in Germany, roughly 9% of its workforce, while committing more than €100 million to technology and AI.
Most of those positions will disappear through retirement and attrition. By 2030, the company intends to operate with fewer people.
This is the workforce story I’m watching across financial services. Companies are increasingly funding technology transformation while allowing existing roles to disappear. They don't need mass layoffs to permanently reduce headcount. Keep that in mind!

These "job" postings have qualifications that are impossible to meet, so Americans don't apply and they can hire #h1b Indians with completely fake resume that meets the req on paper. Its a dirty game that has been played for over two decades now to shun Americans from tech jobs.

Microsoft is the third largest sponsor of H1B’s in America.
BREAKING: Microsoft is offering buyouts to 60,000 employees, roughly a quarter of the company’s workforce, under a “Voluntary Exit Offer,” in an effort to avoid more layoffs
Reminder: Earlier this month, the Trump administration suspended Microsoft and a handful of other firms from using the Permanent Labor Certification Program, or PERM, which lets companies sponsor foreign workers for green cards.
At the time, Vice President JD Vance accused the tech giant of laying off thousands of American workers while bringing in foreign workers to replace them through the H-1B visa system: "There has been no company in the US, unfortunately, that has abused the system more than Microsoft."

BLS says only 414,000 Americans are "discouraged workers."
Their own data says 5.8 million people outside the labor force want a job.
1.5 million more looked in the past year and quit searching.
None of them count as unemployed.

Actually, @Uber drivers sell their credentials or "lease" them to others to use.
IF @uber would issue a statement to all of its users (contractors), that is they are caught allowing anyone else to use their account, then @Uber will report them for identity fraud to the FBI, and then do it, this would stop.
It would stop now.
Thank you, @60Minutes, for letting Americans know @Uber hires illegal aliens to drive its passengers.

A Senior Director at MSFT (good friend of mine) just sent me internal messages between MSFT & some of its employees.
Today, Microsoft just asked THOUSANDS of its employees to voluntarily resign, despite just reporting $133.7B in net income for FY26, up 31%.
Employees are questioning why MSFT isn’t pro-actively downsizing by removing H1B employees before American workers.
Other employees are asking why any employee cuts are being made when profits are so high.
Fair question if ya ask me.

This is absolutely going to impact Washington States workers.

Do they have even the slightest idea that atleast 2 generations of Americans lost their homes, careers, hopes and futures and no where else to go becuase of these visa workers?
Even caste-based hiring refferals are going nowhere due to increased lay-offs.
Next the poster will pay a bodyshop to give him offer letter and fake-roll for kickbacks and COE (change of employer) will be approved!
