John Harbaugh is 15-3 when coming off a bye week, which is the best win % in NFL history among head coaches with at least 10 games. He hasn't lost after the bye since 2020. His last loss in a non-COVID year was 2015.
Giants are reviewing film and doing a workout today. Tomorrow they have a "keep ready, stay ready practice," a lift and a team meeting. Then the players get five full days off and are back in the building on Monday to start Eagles prep.
Harbaugh on if there's any secret formula to being so successful after the bye: "Not that I'm aware of. I think we just come back and play really well the week after the bye. That's the secret formula: to play good football."

John Harbaugh did not agree with the crown of helmet penalty called against Cam Skattebo. He said he understands human physiology and it's impossible to remove your head from your shoulders when you're going low as a runner. He says Skattebo isn't trying to use his helmet as a weapon, and he hasn't heard from the NFL yet, but maybe they can enlighten him.
Harbaugh also admits he was caught off guard that the refs threw a flag at all. Often the NFL just fines players on the back end instead of penalizing that in a game. This time, they threw the flag. Harbaugh didn't expect it

#Giants RB Cam Skattebo told @DanGrazianoESPN he felt something in his hamstring on his 42-yard OT run. All indications this morning are he should be OK, especially with the team on a bye this weekend. A rare, welcome instance for NYG to not have an IR candidate after a game.

Expect Giants RT Jermaine Eluemunor (calf) to return to the lineup and play today here in Houston against the Texans, per sources. He missed last Sunday's game against the Saints.
NYG will need Eluemunor as close to his best as possible vs. Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter.

The Giants activated Paulson Adebo and put Tremaine Edmunds on IR.
They elevated Jalin Hyatt and Raheem Layne, which doesn't bode well for Tyler Nubin's availability for tomorrow.
Expecting CB Paulson Adebo to be activated from IR and to start tomorrow vs. the Texans. Presumably the Giants will put LB Tremaine Edmunds, who is done for the season, on IR to open the roster spot for Adebo.
As for practice squad elevations, look for WR Jalin Hyatt — remember him?! — to get elevated for tomorrow’s game. Giants only have four WR on the 53-man roster. Hyatt was having a decent start to camp before missing time with an ankle injury.
The other potential elevation is S Raheem Layne. With Jevon Holland (concussion) ruled out, the Giants will need Layne if Tyler Nubin, who is questionable with a neck injury, can’t play.

Giants LB Tremaine Edmunds’ shoulder injury season-ending, per sources.
Another major blow for the Giants, who have already lost QB Jaxson Dart and OLB Brian Burns and a handful of other contributors to season-ending injuries.
Edmunds had played every defensive snap, helping rookie LB Arvell Reese’s acclimation to the NFL. Micah McFadden steps into Edmunds’ role. John Harbaugh has stated that the Giants have three starting ILB, so McFadden gets his shot.
