I really enjoyed my time today with David, a volunteer with our pharmacy team, who brings a smile & a joke to our wards every day; he also gets plenty of steps in! 👏🏼
Tamzin and @coconnor5757 also proudly spoke about their incredible volunteers on Team Brief to over 130 PHU staff.
They shared their passion for our volunteers and the journey of how 1 patient could have had over 10 volunteer interactions for one visit.

Today, on the 80th anniversary of D-Day, we remember the sacrifices made by all those involved in the D-Day landings.
It is also an opportunity to say thank you and celebrate our relationship with @DMS_JHG_South

Today, over 100 of our personnel attended the #DDay80 commemorative event - both as members of the audience, and also selected to support Normandy veterans.
We will never forget the extraordinary bravery and sacrifice of those who fought for freedom on that fateful day.
So well deserved… amazing feedback from a family about the kindness & compassion that Carolyn showed. And it’s obvious it wasn’t a one off, a real team player who keeps our patients at the centre of everything she does. Thank you Carolyn #proudtobephu
