For those of you mercifully confused by this and her whole... thing, Nicki Minaj wants two things: a pardon for her brother (who was convicted of sexually abusing an 11 year old girl in New York State, a pardon that can only be granted by the governor) and a pardon for her husband (he didn't register as a sex offender in California, a federal offense, which can only be pardoned by the President.)

“Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam.
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the endless cruelties visited by the inhabitants of one corner of this pixel on the scarcely distinguishable inhabitants of some other corner, how frequent their misunderstandings, how eager they are to kill one another, how fervent their hatreds. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by all those generals and emperors so that, in glory and triumph, they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot.
Our posturings, our imagined self-importance, the delusion that we have some privileged position in the Universe, are challenged by this point of pale light. Our planet is a lonely speck in the great enveloping cosmic dark. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves.
The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Visit, yes. Settle, not yet. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand.
It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known.”

It’s very telling that restricting the ability of eligible voters to vote is seen as a win for Republicans.

This is funny because Elon literally cut 4 billion dollars worth of cancer research funding through @DOGE.
"You'd hate him if he did something good!"
Well.... he's literally doing the exact opposite of that good thing so here we are.

Of course the event is real. The electric McMurtry Spéirling drove upside down last year with the same reverse suction tech.
Self landing rockets are so mainstream even Honda has one.
Cool tech. Pretty useless in a car tho.
The young people may not know this. but there used to be this season in between summer and winter called fall. It was lovely. the air got a bit cooler. the leaves starting falling. there was a lovely smell to the air. You'd be outside and the briskness could be felt in your lungs. It felt more crisp. But it also was lovely. You'd walk around and not get soaking wet. You'd play football in the backyard. you'd have outdoor fires and start wearing sweaters. I was a proud fall guy. I'd have a nice cup of coffee to go. I miss those days.

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

Look around you.
One day, the people in your line of vision will be gone.
Pets gone. Laughter silenced.
Leaving behind an empty space.
And a memory.
One day, you’ll be gone.
The chair you are sitting in
Will be cold and empty
One day, the things we have touched will still hold our fingerprints long after we are gone.
Right here and now, we are still here.
Bright sparks of life.
Not yet gone. Hearts still beating.
Legacies still being written. Laughter still echoing upon the airwaves.
What legacy will you leave behind?

Not to alarm anyone, but a religious department at the Pentagon is bad. Like, really bad. It was bound to happen b/c he thinks he's fighting a holy war and his religious mentor thinks slavery should make a comeback. Good times.
