Jayson Tatum on whether he felt like he had something to prove entering this season:
"Motivation was just about being present. I learned a lot about myself when I was injured, and I always say, before I tore my Achilles...I thought we had this window to try to win as many championships as possible with that team...My perspective changed. Just being present, in the moment.
"...When something is taken away from you, innately, you just appreciate it more...I was grateful to be in training camp, I was grateful to be in the preseason...Enjoy being in this process again."

Jayson Tatum on Derrick White getting MVP chants:
“That’s what I love about this city and the fans here. They know what winning basketball is and they know when guys are contributing and doing spectacular things or maybe all the little things. They know when you’re competing and making plays. That’s their way of putting their energy into the game… I think it’s really cool and much deserved.”

The BEST possible outcome for the Giants is that J.J. McCarthy ends up being really good and then Jaxson Dart returns, who we KNOW is really good.
You have 2 potential franchise QBs on your roster, and a shit ton of leverage, and both QBs still have 5th-year options :)

The Giants are having fun. And, while John Harbaugh is demanding a lot from his players he is also listening to them.

One of my biggest fears in drafting Leek was keeping him happy playing on a bad football team.
Guys like that want to win.
It’s so refreshing to see him smiling and jumping up and down on the sideline with Harbs. We need both of them here for the long haul.

From the day he was drafted, we’ve never seen Malik be this happy. Things go a bit different when an adult is in front of the room

Jameis Winston on leading after his demotion:
"My desire is to be a Super Bowl 61–winning quarterback... if I'm taking a backseat and leading my team from the second line, I still am desiring greatness."

Happiest people at Microsoft today:
-> 10–15 years at Microsoft
-> Got a new job offer yesterday
-> Planned to resign today
-> Woke up to Microsoft's voluntary exit offer
Same career move. Unexpected bonus.
Bro just unlocked the premium exit package. 💀😂

John Harbaugh is confident in Dominic Zvada. He remains the Giants kicker.
This is from after the game. Harbaugh added Monday they won't be bringing in kickers for a workout.
Worth noting: Zvada has already attempted 8 FGs from 50+. That's generally a seasons' worth.

Jorge Posada was asked if he thinks he could improve the Yankees "unacceptable" behaviors by bringing his fiery attitude and baseball instincts around the current team:
"I could, but I don't think they want me there. I don't feel welcome when I go there. Even in Spring Training... So I don't go."

The Giants are placing Tyrone Tracy on IR, per Joe Schoen.
Brutal for him, he's been battling to get back in the fold and looked good the last 2 weeks.
It's now the Skat + Singletary show. Singletary is a good RB, actually believe he's very competent.

"He's been phenomenal since the day he got here. That's probably why coach and I, in that video, we were shocked he was there."

Giants QB J.J. McCarthy will be staying in the area during the bye week. He'll have his long-awaited reunion with his 1-year-old son, Rome, who he has not seen in person since before the trade from Minnesota.
His wife Katya was here two weekends ago. They'll join him this week.
