Mehdi Hasan Confronts Nancy Mace Over Her Comments About Muslims — Then the Argument Turns Personal
Mehdi Hasan: The idea that Zohran Mamdani and Abdul El-Sayed support Sharia law is absurd. They’re more supportive of gay and transgender rights than Nancy Mace.
And when Ivanka Trump wore a hijab in a mosque, I don’t remember Nancy Mace attacking her. When Donald Trump wore a kippah at a Jewish institution, she didn’t attack him either. This is about picking on Muslims to get votes.
You also said every terrorist is Muslim. That’s simply not true. There are Hindu, Christian and Jewish terrorists too.
Mehdi Hasan: You still haven’t explained why you support a woman in a Texas grocery store attacking two Muslim American women and telling them to leave the country.
You also support banning Muslims from public office. This is all cynical election politics.
Nancy Mace: For the first time in my life, I agree with Donald Trump. You’re an untrustworthy, nasty woman.
Mehdi Hasan: Trump endorsed your opponent, and you put out an AI video pretending he endorsed you. Why did you do that?
Nancy Mace: This is stupid. You’re trying to smear and defame me. I do not get drunk.
Mehdi Hasan: I asked whether you were drunk when you posted the video. Your former communications director told New York Magazine that you had staff members buying alcohol for you during the workday.
Nancy Mace: That’s not true. That never happened.
Mehdi Hasan: I’m telling you what your former communications director said. Take it up with her.
Nancy Mace: You’re making things up and smearing me.
Mehdi Hasan: Donald Trump doesn’t like you, your former staff don’t like you, and Muslims don’t like you because of what you’ve said about us.

As a Pakistani citizen, I demand immediate action by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, the Lahore High Court, the Islamabad High Court, and prison authorities on the medical rights of Imran Khan, Noreen Niazi, and Dr. Uzma Khan.
Imran Khan (Adiala Jail since August 2023) faces documented right-eye CRVO with prior severe vision loss, reported BP spikes up to 192, anxiety, and prolonged isolation previously flagged by the UN Special Rapporteur. Supreme Court medical orders remain incompletely enforced. Noreen Niazi (Kot Lakhpat, MPO detention since ~21 Sept 2026) was hospitalised late October for cardiac discomfort and high BP. Dr. Uzma Khan (same detention) has a heart condition requiring daily medication that the Lahore High Court ordered provided.
These are constitutional and human-rights issues of life, dignity, and enforcement of court orders. Preventive detention cannot justify medical neglect.
Demands:
1. Immediate independent medical examination of Imran Khan by a board including his nominated personal physicians (or equivalent independent specialists), with full transparency and family/legal access to findings.
2. Full and prompt enforcement of all existing Supreme Court and High Court orders on medical treatment, specialist access, hospital evaluation, and regular family/lawyer contact for Imran Khan.
3. Continuous adequate medical care and uninterrupted medication for Noreen Niazi and Dr. Uzma Khan, with proper family notification.
4. Review of the sisters’ preventive detention conditions and legal basis, ensuring due process and immediate family/legal meetings.
5. End to any prolonged isolation inconsistent with the Nelson Mandela Rules; guarantee of humane conditions.
6. Transparent public reporting by authorities on compliance.
Honourable Courts: exercise your supervisory jurisdiction now.

Trump's Midterm Collapse: Was it Coming?
The midterm results may be shocking for many, but they were imminent and entirely predictable.
And ofcourse as a predictive modeling company (@3RD_AI_ ) we predicted them, not days, weeks or months, but over a full year in advance.
And it's not even rocket science. All what was needed was to stress-test the base on both sides and measure the velocity of sentiment change.
So here is what we were tracking, publishing and sending to our selected clients for the last 20 months.
On March 29 2025, 3 months into Trump's Presidency, we put out very first data based on the earliest signal detection, warning that Trump was fast losing traction within his base over failing to address the promises.
6 months later, On December 28 2025, we again issued our comprehensive data, concluding that Trump had nearly lost most of his support base over Epstein files, Tarriff handling, ICE heavy handedness, and obsession with Foreign Policy and Geopolitics.
This was long before Iran war, and scores of corruption scandals that hit later. In fact, the midterms outcome was so obvious months in advance that we didn't even had to re-run our final numbers before the elections.
How we did this is not just by computing politics, economic indicators or even public sentiment, but instead going into the deepest layer of the society to compute culture which to me is the most critical layer of predicting outcomes.
So when @JDVance talks about data, it was all there, but they refused to see, listen, or change their behavior.

Trump Tracker: Public Alignment Score
We have been continuously tracking President Trump's public alignment over the past 11 months since his inauguration.
Today on Dec 27 2025, we have recorded the lowest public alignment score of President Trump across all domains this year which reflects a big disconnect with the public sentiment.
- Foreign Policy and Military: 40% alignment / 60% off
- Domestic Policies: 30% alignment / 70% off
- Epstein Files: 20% alignment / 80% off
- Public Relations & Media: 25% alignment / 75% off
Overall alignment: 28%
Our AI model previously recorded a high of over 65% in the early days of the Presidency which gradually settled to 45-55% by late summer and has since dropped significantly over domestic issues, especially handling of Epstein files, immigration related issues, and Tariffs blowback.

When I criticize Israel, their genocide, their government, I get to fucking do that and you don’t get to take that away from me”

I'm hoping that somewhere within the political and national security institutions in the United States there comes a recognition that the Cold War is long over, and so are the methods, tactics and technologies that defined that era.
There has to be a permanent end to regime change operations, installing and endorsing military dictators, and enabling extractive corruption in the name of military and development aid in the most poorest parts of the world.

We will pass a bill to stop the stupid Trump tariffs jacking up prices on Americans.
This was Mamdani’s midterm: After he won, Republicans gloated that he would drag down the party across the country, as every Democrat would now have to answer for this crazy socialist. Some centrist Dems warned about that too.
As @krystalball notes here, instead, in one form or another, every Democrat adopted a version of his politics
