As someone who works in AI and automation, I'm putting all hands on deck to implement a program by Martinsville.
SMT data is recorded live. If anything spikes past a certain threshold (g-forces, negative acceleration, a gyroscope that can track flips, etc.), the car number is alerted to senior officials. That way, they can pass the message along to the on-track personnel to know which drivers to check first.
Logano's car is understandable since he was upside-down, but Herbst had possibly one of the hardest hits of the year and was one of the last to be attended to.
That's not okay. This may help save someone's life down the road.
With respect to Riley Herbst, I went and clipped the 35 team radio after his horrible impact. You can hear the immediate concern they had for Riley and they were also dissatisfied with NASCAR's response time as safety workers attended to Joey Logano's upside down car.
Riley had his left arm wrapped after the race but told USA that he was OK.

Im obviously a full season guy but can't argue with this Jimmie Johnson style Chase performance. Its almost like 2011 Tony Stewart.
This is still MUCH better than the elimination playoffs
I prefer the Red Read and Green A Post only because it reminds me of the Italian 🇮🇹 flag a bit more.
