Definitely not the ghost of Winston Churchill demonically possessing the Washington Monument. I was going to use Gandhi's pic, but it turns out he was a racist.

It cannot be that it was the most traumatic night of a young woman's life and that she wanted to do it again two weeks later.
In @nytopinion “On the most traumatic night in a young woman’s life, a good man could not be found,” our columnist David French writes about the Cornell University case. nyti.ms/47dyBmk

NEW: One of the fraternity brothers involved in the 'Cornell 7' incident says 'Jane Doe' told them their orgy "was normal in the medieval times." Another frat member says *she* was the aggressor and didn't ask for his consent. "I remember the girl in specific saying something along the lines of, 'This was normal in the medieval times,'" said Diego Sarabia, according to the New York Times. Another fraternity member, Gillio Lopes, says Jane Doe initiated s*xual contact with him without asking for his consent. Lopes says he went to get McDonald's after becoming "uncomfortable" with what allegedly happened to him. Another frat member, Winston Lee, also said Jane Doe initiated s*xual contact with him without asking for his consent. "I kind of took a step back because I didn’t want to engage in anything like s*x. I thought it wasn’t the time for that," Lee said. Lee later engaged in s*xual contact with Doe. He asked her if she was comfortable with what was happening, and she allegedly told him, "We’re all consenting adults here," according to the New York Times.

“The girl who accused the men of raping her had actually consented to a night of drug-fueled group sex, and then only accused the boys of rape 2 weeks later when they didn’t invite her to a Halloween party” is a development you’d mock for ridiculousness in a Daily Wire movie.

My JD isn’t from Twitter U, so I guess I’m allowed to speak up. Why would the woman make a complaint when there was no criminal conduct? Because sober regret without self-accountability leads to looking for someone to blame, especially in a campus environment where victimhood and oppression is taught to be the highest status. Even now, her adult peers who should know better are ready to declare her a hero and award her millions of dollars. Who wouldn’t prefer that status to the shame of being flattered into wanting to participate in dishonorable men’s porn fantasies when they didn’t respect you and said mean things about you during and afterwards? Again, look at the woman’s statement to police. Every time she said “No,” (and she said “No” a lot—she was very particular about wanting threesomes and not foursomes and which men could participate and what acts were off limits), the men stopped. The fact that she *did* say “No” means that she wasn’t too incapacitated to give consent—by her own statement to police, she was dictating the terms of engagement all night. Maybe she has a case of “I was plied with alcohol and drugs to loosen my inhibitions and do things I would never do sober.” That’s a reason she shouldn’t drink or take ketamine, perhaps, but New York law permits women to consent to drugs and alcohol to loosen inhibitions, and that’s what happened here. It’s only criminal if the men spiked her drinks and she didn’t know she was taking drugs. Were many of the men cads? Damn straight. I wouldn’t want sons or daughters involved in Greek life, or even going to a school where Greeks control or dominate social life. But disgusting behavior by everyone involved isn’t criminal or actionable. Even the disgusting text sent out isn’t evidence of anything other than objectification. Want a rule that fraternities can’t ever engage in drug-fueled orgies, no matter the degree of consent? Not a bad rule! The drugs alone are reason for the school to punish the fraternity, which appears to be what happened. But that’s not the criminal legal rule in place, in part because women justifiably don’t want their sex lives policed and we’ve decided not to criminalize drug use. As someone else said: (1) sexual freedom; (2) swift and sure consequences for sexual harassment and misconduct; and (3) procedural protections for the accused. Pick two, because all three are incompatible.

As much as I love talking to people who got their JDs from the prestigious Twitter University School of Law, this tweet is not about New York rape law. It's asking why someone would go to the police to report consensual sex. I realize it's more fun to play a lawyer on the internet, but it might be more useful to try to be someone who can read words.

The next Lia Thomas should be declared a publicity stunt.
From the article: "The recent declarations of Freedom and White are 'simply publicity stunts' and the league is 'not going to give oxygen to efforts designed to mock the league or use this topic to demean and marginalize others,' one league source said." They said they were women and the WNBA refuses to define what a woman is, therefore they ARE women. I hope a discrimination lawsuit is incoming. The NBA should stop supporting the league financially until it ends its discriminatory actions.

If you're confused about what kind of writing gets flagged as "AI generated" by Pangram, this example may help. Below is some human written text (to which I have deliberately added some typos). If you put this through Pangram, it'll be labeled 100% human. "By and large, monetary authorities rely on a ssingle policy instrument: the reference nominal interest rate. The use of one instrument makes it imposible to target both inflation and output simultaneously, and creates an inherent tradeoff. The central bank's position on this tradeoff --how forcefully it is willing to pursue an inflation mandate in spite of the implications for economic activity-- defines the character of its monetary policy approach. We refer to central banks that react strongly to inflation, and that place a relatively small weight on output considerations, as being ``hawkish''. How hawkish, then, are Latin American central banks? This section answers the question by estimating the monetary reaction functions, or ``policy rules'', of five of the region's largest economies for the 2003-2024 period. We find that they are hawkish indeed, responding to a ris in inflation with an aggressive increase in real rates, and prioritizing price stability to such an extent that output plays almost no role in their decision making. This finding is consistent with explanations provided by central bankers in the literature, where it has been argued that central banks adopted a hawkish stance on inflation as a way to build monetary credibility, against the backdrop of the region's historical struggles with very high inflation. Details on the sources of the data used in the analysis are provided in the appendix. We rely on monthly and quarterly time series from each country's central bank and national statistics office." I often run my writing by AI and the usual result is that it will offer some minor improvements to wording. Sometimes I take the suggestion, sometimes not. Try it with something you wrote.

"Critics are evil...<huge bong rip> where was I? Oh right. Sylvester Stallone has no great movies"
Seth Rogen says critics would write differently if they knew how devastating bad reviews are for actors "I’m at the point in my career where not a lot of people are in a position to yell at me in my job, but the New York Times will publish an entire article saying I suck at my job" "I worked my way up to not having to deal with that much personal conflict face to face, but I will have a cultural institution tell everyone that I suck" "If most critics knew how much it hurt the people that made the things they are writing about, they would second guess the way they write these things. It’s devastating"
