I spoke to Reuters about our Seventh Circuit appeal on behalf of drivers trapped in gridlock by pro-Hamas protestors who blockaded the entrance to O’Hare Airport for hours. Argument scheduled for April 9.
📰HLLI in the News @JgreeneJenna of @Reuters covered our lawsuit on behalf of drivers who were trapped in their vehicles for hours after anti-Israel activists blocked access to O’Hare International Airport.

Only one of the two parties is intent on keeping in power rogue terrorist anti-American governments with the stated Nazi aim of murdering millions of Jews, and it isn’t the Republicans.
John Oliver: “It does feel that the Republican Party has been getting way too comfortable with some, at best, Nazi-adjacent sh*t.” “Nazis getting power doesn’t historically bode well for anyone, including, for what it’s worth, Nazis, who didn’t exactly have the best 1945.” variety.com/2026/tv/news/joh…

This analysis leaves out that if you plan on working a W-2 job at age 62, and then apply for social security, you end up with a 90% marginal tax rate until the government claws back all of your social security benefits. Higher than 90% if you’re in states with an income tax.
Taking social security at 62, 67 or 70? Let’s break it down with these numbers. 62 - $1800/month 67 - $2400/month 70 - $3000/month The difference between taking the money at 67 instead of 62 means you miss 5 years of $21,600/yr which comes out to $108,000. By waiting until 67, you only get an additional $7,200 per year. Take that $108,000 divided by $7200 and you get 15. This means it’d take 15 years to break even, putting you at age 82. Let’s say you wait until 70 for the maximum benefit. The same math we worked above comes out to 12. Meaning it would take 12 years to break even, putting you at age 82. So here’s my question and why I think the answer is so clear and obvious… Would you rather have money at 62 or 82? Comment below and let me know!

To be fair, a poll about the replies showed that only a little over 14% of the targets of the humor were Grumpy.
He’s right, it’s wrong to punch down like that. Sometimes you need to be the bigger person

Boy goes off to college. His parents are worried: they’ve tried to be good jewish parents, to raise their son well. They sent him to jewish day school, taught him Hebrew and Yiddish. But what will happen in a secular university? They warn him “Son, whatever you do, you mustn’t date a shiksa, nothing good will come of that. Find yourself a good jewish girl.” The boy goes off to college and he tries his best to heed his parents’ advice. But it’s in vain, for he meets a goyishe girl in his seminar the first week of class. They start dating. They fall in love. When he goes home for winter break, he breaks the news to his parents. They’re distraught. “Nothing good will come of this!” his father bemoans. The boy is sad when he gets back to campus. He tells his girlfriend of his parents’ admonishment. But they are in love and she is undeterred. “I’ll convert!” she tells him. And so they go to the college rabbi to seek his council. “Are you sure about this?” the rabbi asks. “It’s a great undertaking, to be a jew in this world.” But she is sure. She studies hard and immerses her self (both figuratively and literally) and converts. After college, they get married, ketubah and all. After the ceremony, the new couple goes to visit his parents. His parents try to be supportive. They bake a chicken casserole and buy a nice bottle of wine to welcome them home. But when the couple arrives, the girl peers into the kitchen. “Oh i’m so sorry, but we can’t possibly eat this! There’s butter in the dough, and the cheese is hechsered under Tablet K, and this wine isn’t kosher at all!” The father turns to his son. “I told you this would only bring trouble!”

Probably under-discussed, but this is one of the largest contributors for service workers everywhere becoming worse.

Yeah I was working at taco bell when "The Change" happened. Suddenly we employed 50% more people(most of whom sucked) and got cut to 30 hours a week.

She was supposed to be executive [managing] partner of Weil starting in January. Firm falling apart, RIP.
News @semafor: One of Weil’s top partners, Ramona Nee, is in talks to leave the firm to join Simpson, Thacher, per people familiar with the matter. Talks have failed with Wilkie; other firms have expressed interest.

The recent Nolan Ryan bio by @ByTimBrown has this gem about Bruce Bochy (who blurbed the book) and Dick Williams. Many of the crusty, cantankerous managers of the 70s & 80s had no clue what they were doing but some - like Williams - did, and I really miss them.

Whenever I write this, someone inevitably replies, "But Dresden was a war crime." It wasn't just Dresden. About 700K civilians were killed in the Allies' ground and air campaigns, not including Dresden, just as "normal" incidents to war, not including the USSR's eastern front. People just don't seem to have any idea that civilians die in war even when they aren't intentionally targeted.
Replying to @NewYorker
This is moronic. There was infinitely more "carnage" caused by the Allies in WWII. 30-40K civilians were killed just in the invasion of Normandy. Does that make fighting WWII "unjust? Should the British have just surrendered to the Nazis?

Kalshi doesn’t have to prove it wrong. If millionaires are doing this, you can prove them wrong by profitably betting against them. (I have a friend who made good money on Fischback’s attempt to manipulate his election market.) So why are you not doing this, anon?
Replying to @Kalshi
Haha. Democrat Millionaires are dumping millions of dollars into Kalshi to influence election. Prove me wrong Kalshi.

He murdered one woman and assaulted another 15-year old girl, leaving her disabled for life. In combination with his Indigenous ancestry, this was a credential that trumped any other. If you are surprised that a murder conviction would be a prestigious credential for an elite law school application, you don't understand today's progressivism. Despite violating his parole conditions multiple times, including gathering phone numbers of women and hiding them from his overseers in a halfway house where he is permitted to live outside of prison while serving a life sentence, 120 McGill Law students signed a petition calling on the school to let him continue to study alongside them.
McGill’s law school receives roughly 1,500 applications for just 180 spots. It gave one of those spots to a convicted murderer in his mid-60s, who will never pass the good character requirements to practice, and who violated his parole multiple times. theglobeandmail.com/opinion/…

Many states won’t let a “father” remove his name from the birth certificate if he signed it.
My oldest son had a GF that ended up pregnant. When they came over and told us, I looked right in his face and said 'are you sure it's yours?' He got pissed and said, 'We'll just leave if you feel that way!" I said, Just wondering. After the kid was 8 months old (he babysat alot for that little girl while she ran the bars) he said 'mom, she doesn't look like anyone in our family!" So one day he was babysitting and came over. I got a DNA test and we took that test. The results came back 100% NOT his. He broke down crying. I felt sorry for him. BUT, I do remember her dad would not let my son in the delivery room, unfortunately he signed the documents the next day as The Father. So, after all this shit, I got on the internet, downloaded all the forms to get his name OFF the birth certificate. Nice try bitch, because she got knocked up by some under employed loser that already had 1 kid by someone else. It took a while, but the county courts demanded my son and the baby go to a DNA place thru the courts. The bitch didn't show up, my son did. The sheriff was sent to her house with a warrant. After the tests, again, the baby was not his. Name finally removed from the birth certificate. Dumb bitch. Thought she was going to pull one over on my son, but not as long as this momma was alive!!!
