Mom is making moong chila from leftover batter from yesterday. I asked her to add 1 scoop whey isolate to the leftover batter. I think there was batter worth 2 chilas left, so this chila has atleast 15g protein 💪 I will pair it with some panner sabzi🫰

I hate it when people use the terms weightlifting and “lifting-weight” interchangeably. I also hate it when people use weightlifting and powerlifting interchangeably. I MEAN Weightlifting is an Olympic sport which comprises of Clean and Jerk and the Snatch. Lifting weights is just lifting weights in or outside the gym. Weights could be in the firm of dumbles, barbells, kettlebells , loads attached to a machine or even rocks given that you move them with intention to train your body :) Powerlifting is a sport which comprises of squat, bench and the deadlift. Everyone here, now vow to NEVER EVER use these terms interchangeably 🤝

Today, I’ll teach you one of the easiest clean variations (in my opinion in 20 sec) BUT First learn the hook grip - [youtube.com/shorts/zaXb96ykK…) (This is Catalyst Athletics hook grip tutorial on yt btw) Now we will begin - Power Clean from Power Position- Power position in the clean is somewhere between your hips and quarter thigh - it is from where you extend your knees and start pulling the barbell up . It is from where you can use your legs maximally to pull the bb up. In this position, the torso is approximately vertical and your knees are as forward as they can be before you start pulling the barbell towards your torso. Before you get into this power position , just remember these 2 cues - 1. Shoulder Back 2. Chest up Now, with your torso approximately vertical , slightly bend your knees. Extend and pull the bb high. Drop and catch by rotating your elbows around it. Congratulations ! You did a power clean from power position :) You can share your videos and queries here, and we can solve them together💪

The next time your partner is angry, grab a blanket, put it behind their shoulders, and tell them they're super angry

I hit a 2 sec hand stand hold PR today🥺 I have been working on my handstands, and I recently added some hollow body holds to the warmups. 2 sets of Hollow body holds for as long as possible. This helped me develop that stack-awareness which is required so you dont fall back or forward when standing on your hands. Then i move on to hand stands where i try to move one leg off the wall while shifting my weight forward on my hand and find my balance.

I saw a reel from Rory Scott (Australian weightlifter and coach) , where he talks about how hard it is to be avg in this sport. Snatching 50kg is avg, but just think about how few people in this world can achieve a 50kg snatch. Its rare🥺 I think i qualify as an avg weightlifter and I should take some pride in that because I CAN FUCKING SNATCH 50! Its my current PB and it looks decent too :) Not shabby at all!

If you are newbie in the gym and want to get started with learning the Olympic lifts right away- here is what i would suggest, Start by mastering the basic movement patterns first - squat, hinge, lunge, push and pull. Why am I saying this- I have been training my sister for 3 months now. On one of the random days I thought of teaching her the power clean from the knees. This in my opinion is the easiest clean variation to learn. She was able to follow the cues like - hinge, keep the bb close etc and perform them in isolation. But it was challenging for her to piece it all together. The movement just didn’t look coordinated enough. Maybe , if she kept practicing it - she would have gotten a hang of it. But I personally think, mastering the basics first- helps yiu develop a sense of body awareness. This will help you understand when you need to use your legs to pull the barbell further up to get under it. Olympic lifting is just - using your legs to get under the bb, and making sure the bb is close as you do it :)

I still remember it wasn’t long ago when I ran into @cortisoul_ at a meet-up in Delhi and showed me a lil mental math app he was working on on his phone, and today they’ve raised Ten Freaking Million dollars! Onwards and upwards! 🚀 @matiks_play
we raised $10M to take Matiks from India to the world 🧠🌍 not long ago, it was just a few of us who believed mind sports could go mainstream. most people called it niche. last month, 2.2M people played 48M brain games on Matiks. they could’ve kept scrolling, and they didn’t. our longest streak has crossed 689 days. players run google meets to coach each other. one called us “the cure to my doomscrolling” and we still aren’t over it. huge welcome to General Catalyst and Unilazer Ventures, and thank you Info Edge Ventures, Tanglin Venture Partners and Untitled Ventures for backing us again. what’s next: → taking Matiks to the US → more games across math, memory, logic and puzzles → an AI engine so anyone can build a brain game millions can play to Sudhanshu, Sushant, Mohan and the whole Matiks team: you took a simple idea and made millions fall in love with using their brains. to our players: none of this exists without you. this one’s for you ❤️

have been training my younger sister recently, and she has been consistent in the gym for 2.5 months now!!! Her goal is too build strength and that is exactly what we have been doing! She weighs 55kg and squats 30kg. She is close to lifting her body weight on a trap bb deadlift. Its a delight to see her progress and grow into this independent gym girl 🎀🥰 She trains 3 days a week and absolutely loves it! If you too are looking to start somewhere , I am sharing her split here (that she started with)
