Looks like Patriarchy Hannah is back.
If your husband struggles with sin, or has some sort comings, you still have to obey him and serve him. Heโ€™s the head of household, and that means if he decides to be foolish, it is what it is. So long as he isnโ€™t asking you to sin, which is where the line is drawn.

Imagine claiming a valid mass is an occasion of sin. The actual occasion of sin is the TLM which you have made into an idol.
Our car is in the shop so the only Mass we could get to was a NO Mass. Those are no longer a near occasion of sin for me. They are an actual occasion of sin. First we sang a completely heretical Protestant hymn written by Charles Wesley. Then we had a deacon homily and in 15 minutes he mentioned the following: the Beatles, Bryan Adams. Tina Turner, Taylor Swift and the Swifties, the movie The Notebook, the movie It's a Wonderful Life, Celine Dion, Neil Diamond, Dionne Warwick, and Cupid. I could not make this up if someone fed me drugs and then put a gun to my head.

Engagement bait is so easy to spot if you have half a brain. But so many of you canโ€™t spot it.

American conservatives are constantly bemoaning the decline of aesthetic standards and calling for a return to classical Roman architecture, but are now forced to defend the Cheesecake Factory. A constant tension between the Brooks Brothers patrician and the Kid Rock populist.

Do these idiots not understand that the Cheesecake Factory is designed to be tacky?
The snootiness towards things like the Cheesecake Factory doesnโ€™t work when their own personal taste consists of this:

Having over the top decor is Cheesecake Factoryโ€™s shtick.
The coastal elites hate Americana. We know what they really think, and we know why they are so quickly defending Obamaโ€™s snobbery. They might think they are โ€œtoo goodโ€ for the Cheesecake Factory, or find the decor to be tacky, but most regular Americans donโ€™t

This is one of the fakest examples of mock outrage ever. Not a fan of Obama, but what he said was funny.
"Cheesecake Factory as beloved staple of Middle America that elitists mock at their own peril" is such a great discourse. Wish Obama got out on the trail more often

Iโ€™m not liberal and I refuse to eat at that dump. Itโ€™s not nice. The food isnโ€™t very good. A prime steakhouse or a Michelin star restaurant is a very nice restaurant. Even normies like me know that. MAGA is so ridiculous. Defenders of chain restaurants. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

Let be honest for every one women having an abortion when the man still wants the child there are 10 men who pressured a woman to have an abortion that she never would have had if he were to have stood up. Ratio might be even higher.
Women abort them all the time when the man still wants them.

Most literate Americans are capable of understanding that President Obama is not saying Cheesecake Factory is bad. He is saying the White House should not share its gaudy, eccentric, and disjointed architectural style. Unfortunately, 21% of Americans are functionally illiterate.
Does Obama not understand that to most Americans the Cheesecake Factory is a very nice and fancy restaurant?

The entire right wing media apparatus taking up pistols at 40 paces to defend the honor of the Cheesecake Factory is exactly how I want to close out the election cycle. Thank you all for this.
Classic Obama snobbery. Cheesecake Factory is a great option for people who canโ€™t afford a private chef at their Marthaโ€™s Vineyard estate.

The fact that most of the founding fathers owned slaves is one of the greatest ironies of history and it should not be ignored. Yes people are complex. I donโ€™t assign a whole lot of moral blame to the Romans for keeping slaves. However, Jefferson and Washington should have known better. They rationalized it because it was economically convenient. Washington at least friend his slaves in his will but this also shows he knew it was wrong.
If you ever go to Monticello be prepared to listen to the America-despising and Jefferson-hating guides ram the world โ€œenslavedโ€ down your throat 500 times. They are obsessed with slavery, and they want you to be, too. They want you to hate Jefferson. Seriously. They really do. By the time you leave, youโ€™ll forget Thomas Jefferson ever lived there because they want to you think non-stop about slavery. They want your visit to Monticello to be a cosplay of the TV series ROOTS. This is one of the cabins that some of his slaves lived in. I donโ€™t want to make light of slavery - and Iโ€™m not. But โ€ฆ The weather in that area is beautiful most of the year. The slaves lived around the gardens with incredible views in every direction. They ate fresh fruit and vegetables and anything else Jefferson ate. For the most part, they lived and worked with no supervision. In fact, many were on another area of the mountain. Many were well-educated and skilled. They could have easily walked off the mountain and toward Pennsylvania. It would have taken about 10-15 days to get there. Who would have stopped hundreds of slaves walking together? Monticello wants you to be horrified by this cabin. Well, the jokes on them, I think. All things considered, being the 1700s and all, these were really nice digs. In fact, plenty of people then and now could only hope to live in a nice cabin like this in a beautiful and peaceful setting. No one wants to be enslaved. I get that. My point is, life at Monticello was not ROOTS. But unfortunately, thatโ€™s what the people running the estate want you to believe. Itโ€™s part of a plan to destroy American heroes. They want you to be ashamed of the Founding Fathers. Donโ€™t be. They were absolute heroes in every sense of the word. Thomas Jefferson was a hero. It would be great if the people running Monticello treated him as such. Itโ€™s too bad it canโ€™t be owned by the U.S. government and operated by the National Park Service. Monticello and Thomas Jefferson deserve that.

The "Irish weren't white" thing is very stupid, since the category of "White" or "Caucasian" was consistently more inclusive in the 1930s than today. Italians, Slavs, middle-easterners, most Latinos, were all sort of seen as the same thing, all "ethnic whites."
Talkie does consider Italians and Irish White. It is hyper focused on the Caucasian category though. So, it also considers Middle Easterners to be White.
