It was a great privilege to interview Jagdish Kaur and her brother Gulshanbir in Punjab. Will release it tonight at 9:30 PM. Photo 1: January 1991 cover of India Today Hindi - Jagdish Kaur with weapon in one hand and her two year old son in the other. Photo 2: English cover, her husband Comrade Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Jagdish Kaur and their son. Photo 3: Jagdish Kaur and her brother Gulshanbir giving interview to Vaad. Photo 4: Balwinder Singh Sandhu with his wife, his elder brother and his bhabhi waiting for the President of India to confer Shaurya Chakras on all four of them - only one family in India to achieve this glory. The great Sandhu family of Bhikhiwind. They resisted Khalistani terrorism bravely in 1990s. On 16th October 2020, exactly 6 years ago, terrorists shot down Balwinder Sandhu at his home. On this day, let’s pay our dearest respects to him and his brave family 🙏

Got a bit of a meh response to this @VaadClips podcast with @haryannvi earlier this year. But all that is to be proven right someday gets it that way. The podcast is titled 'Elon Musk & China’s dangerous game in Space'. youtube.com/watch?v=O2yMPGQh…

One should always revisit the past—not to remain trapped in it, but to ensure that we never repeat the mistakes and horrors of the past. We often remember the horrors of the Khalistani movement in Punjab and the immense suffering endured by the Sikh community during those turbulent years. But one part of that history is still far too often ignored: the horrific violence faced by Punjabi Hindus during the same period. Thousands of Punjabi Hindus were killed, often in broad daylight, simply because of who they were. Families were forced to flee their homes, communities were uprooted, and countless victims and their families have spent decades waiting for justice and recognition. This podcast appears to be a much-needed attempt to bring that forgotten chapter of Punjab's history into the mainstream. Ranju Aery Dadhwal is an author, researcher, and independent journalist who has extensively documented the socio-political history and human cost of the Punjab militancy era. Through ground research, oral histories, and painstaking documentation—most notably in her book *RED CARD*—she has brought forward the experiences of victims, survivors, and displaced families who lived through the violence of the 1980s and 1990s. Her work deserves far greater appreciation, recognition, and acknowledgement. I strongly urge everyone to watch this podcast. If we genuinely want to understand the Punjab militancy era, we cannot look at history through only one lens. The suffering of every community deserves to be remembered, documented, and acknowledged. This is not about diminishing anyone else's suffering. It is about ensuring that the suffering of Punjabi Hindus is not forgotten either. A painful chapter of history deserves to be told in its entirety—not selectively. @VaadClips @aery_ranju #25YearsOfSeva #IMCAspire youtu.be/t7GDSEiOB0A?si=trYG…

Grateful for a refreshingly rhetoric-free conversation on Kargil’s air war with @VaadClips @haryannvi Beyond reel vs real, we discussed what the IAF was asked to do, how Safed Sagar evolved, and the Army-IAF debate that still colours its telling. youtu.be/4bX6aENI6IE

Just came across the YouTube channel Vaad @VaadClips This is what a real podcast culture looks like — thoughtful conversations, meaningful debates and topics that actually matter. Huge appreciation for the host, especially for consistently picking relevant and intellectually engaging subjects. More platforms like this are needed.

youtu.be/qBwRUdULFI8?si=PiZE… My take on why @PrashantKishor won and what it means. Relevant and specific issues covered in detail. The curse that Bihar never elects logical and educated leader has fallen flat but let’s not extrapolate the result beyond what it means. Please watch and share your feedback

A very important point raised by @VishalBhargava5 in yet another candid chat with @haryannvi on @VaadClips . Lack of public spaces for the aam aadmi of India is another example of total failure of governance of urban India. And we aren't talking enough about it.
