Mostly yes. The rhyme is a solid rule of thumb backed by wildlife agencies: Black bears: fight back hard (often predatory). Brown/grizzly: play dead face-down (usually defensive). Polar: survival odds are terrible—don't play dead, fight if contact happens, but prevention is everything. Color alone can mislead (black bears come in brown shades), so behavior and location matter more. Carry bear spray.

I appear to have outwitted the algorithms at X. Which, frankly, is rather like outsmarting a toaster. Normally, when I write “Trump is a…” followed by something less than flattering, the post limps along with 4,000 or 5,000 views. But this time, I announced, with all the ceremony of a royal wedding: “Ladies and gentlemen! The President of the United States 🇺🇸” And suddenly, the algorithm went absolutely nuts. 1.3 MILLION views. Presumably, the magnificent machinery at X decided this was a stirring tribute to America’s glorious leader and opened the floodgates. Unfortunately for them, as anyone who watched the video will appreciate, it was nothing of the sort. I’ve effectively persuaded Trump’s own cheerleading machine to distribute the joke to an enormous audience. Rather a splendid catch, if I may say so myself.

Last night Trump said he could have won Vietnam in a week. His plan was “going after Ho Chi Minh City.” Ho Chi Minh City was Saigon, the capital of South Vietnam. Our ally. The enemy’s capital was Hanoi. We bombed it. He called the presidents who fought that war stupid, then explained how he’d have won it by attacking our own side. 58,220 Americans died in that war. Trump got five deferments. Now he’s telling the rest of us how easy it would have been. He’s had more than fifty years to learn which side we were on. He still hasn’t. That alone should disqualify him from sending anybody else’s kids to war. Instead, he’s weighing more strikes on Iran after Tuesday. His administration has reportedly considered using the “mother of all bombs,” the one he calls “like a tiny nuclear bomb.” The man who thinks we should have bombed our ally’s capital gets to choose the targets.

On October 7, Eden Nimri (22) bravely confronted Hamas single-handedly. At the time, she was wearing pajamas and stood at the entrance of a bomb shelter, protecting 17 people inside. According to Ynet — all 17 girls survived, except Eden. Survivors recounted that when Eden ran out of ammunition, she fought the terrorists unarmed, using only her bare hands. She sacrificed her life while defending Israel and her friends. Eden was only 22 years old.

My last post on the Russell Brand trial reached nearly a million people, and my replies were immediately flooded with defenders insisting this was all just a coordinated establishment hit job. Well, week three just concluded at Southwark Crown Court, and the reality has gotten so much worse for anyone trying to defend him. For the last three years, Brand hid behind a podcast microphone, carefully rebranding himself as a humble, persecuted spiritual outsider. He even got baptized right after the criminal allegations broke to complete the transformation. Then he actually had to take the witness stand under oath, and the entire manufactured persona collapsed in real time. When questioned by his own barrister, Brand put on a loud theatrical performance, throwing around words like "badinage" and "loquacious" to charm the jury. But the moment the prosecution stood up to cross-examine him, the swagger completely evaporated into long, excruciating spells of dead silence. The prosecution didn't even need outside witnesses to tear him apart. They simply opened his own 2007 memoir and read his own confessions back to his face. Jurors had to sit there while the court read passages where Brand explicitly wrote that when he wanted a woman, he would "resolutely remove anything that’s in the way, until I possess the object of my desire." They read his own captions bragging about pretending to be effeminate specifically so women would lower their guard and let him into their hotel rooms. Think about that for ten seconds. He put the playbook in writing himself. As the prosecution pointed out in their closing speech, the jury isn't dealing with a media conspiracy. They are looking at six separate women spanning a ten-year timeline between 1999 and 2009. They didn't know each other. They have no personal or financial benefit to gain, and endless online abuse to endure, by having to sit in a criminal court to describe being assaulted. You can build an army of online defenders and hide behind sudden spiritual conversions all you want. But when your own published books describe treating women as objects to be possessed at any cost, the enlightened guru act is completely finished.

PCBS end-2025 data confirms the drop: roughly 254,000 fewer people, or 10.6%, leaving Gaza at about 2.13 million versus pre-war estimates near 2.4 million. That net figure factors in reported deaths, missing persons, roughly 100,000 who left, and reduced births. The “increased” claims mostly recycle pre-October 2023 projections that never adjusted for the war.

I got a call from a scammer yesterday. Me: “Hello.” Scammer: (thick, heavy accent) “Hello. This is Tom Smith from Microsoft Support. We are seeing a lot of virus activity coming from your device.” Me: “Oh no. My device? Are you sure?” Scammer: “Oh yes, Madam. We have many reports.” Me: “Oh, jeez. How can I fix it?” Scammer: “It’s okay, Madam. We can help you right now. Are you in front of your device?” Me: “Yes. I was just about to use it. I’m glad you called.” Scammer: “Good, Madam. Please push the Start button.” Me: “I think it’s already on.” Scammer: “Okay, Madam. Now click on Control Panel.” Me: “I don’t see that.” Scammer: “Do you see a bunch of information above the Start button?” Me: “Yes.” Scammer: “That is your Control Panel.” Me: “Wow. I didn’t realize it had a name.” Scammer: “Yes, Madam. Now press Internet Options.” Me: “I don’t see any Internet options. I don’t think I bought that feature. This is just a cheap one.” Scammer: “All devices have Internet, Madam. Press the Start button again.” Me: “Okay. Same as before.” Scammer: “That’s fine, Madam. We will restart your device. Please turn it off.” Me: “Um… I don’t know how. I’ve never turned it off. It kind of just stays on.” Scammer: “There must be an off button. How do you stop it when it’s running?” Me: “I usually press the big button.” Scammer: “Okay, Madam. Press that button.” Me: “Okay.” Scammer: “Is your device off?” Me: “No. The door popped open.” Scammer: “Door? Is there a disc inside?” Me: “No. There’s a burrito.” Scammer: “Why is there a burrito in your computer?” Me: “Computer? I thought you said this was microwave support.”

Thank you for sharing. I love her so much. I don’t know how she does it. How does she keep a beautiful kind heart even amidst all the unnecessary unbelievable vile hatred they hurl at her. She has the purest heart.

I have met Meghan Sussex. I met her this year, at an event we were both at. She is not at all like the media, and her haters, portray her to be. They have spent years dehumanising her, and creating a whole caricature of a person that doesn't exist. There were many people at the event we were at. Meghan asked her staff (we found out via organisers later) to ensure she had time to meet us all personally, one on one. She asked each of us our names and we all had the time to have a conversation with her, about anything we chose to discuss. My teenage daughter had drawn a picture of Guy, so we discussed my daughter, my family. I also told her of the wonderful support that she had from people of all walks of life. She had greeted me with a warm hug but after our discussion, as I went to walk away, she grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze. She was at the event to do a Q&A. We were all able to submit a question for her to answer. The questions varied from her business plans, to her kids, to Harry, friendships, the media, how she copes with the constant criticism and hate. She answered all questions. We learnt a lot about Archie and Lili that I haven't seen in the public sphere so wont repeat. We learnt just how strong her marriage is. They are still smitten ( Harry was also present although he didnt speak. He was there to support Meghan) She spoke on how she deals with the constant hate and criticism. On how sad she is that the media has turned her into a caricature that isn't her at all. A caricature that isn't a version of her that any who know her recognise. She expressed sadness that people who don't know her believe this is who she is, but has resigned herself to the fact that people will believe what they choose to believe and there is nothing that she can do to change it. So she is determined to stay true to herself and live her life as authentically as she can. I, as a RN/midwife and former mental health nurse, am a pretty good judge of character. We are trained to look for signs and red flags. There was nothing fake about Meghan. She was warm. Genuinely warm. She was extremely funny, something that I didnt know about her before. She glowed, literally. She had an aura about her that made it easy to see why so many in her real life are drawn to her, and perhaps why so many feel threatened, and she is extremely intelligent. She didn't speak on the royal family at all. I'm certain those in the room wouldn't have asked her to. There were people in attendance that were not Meghan supporters. I spoke to a few who went just to hear what she had to say. All came away extremely impressed. So, they can blame her, hate her, judge her but, I know how she made me feel and how she treated me. So I will always support her, and defend her unapologetically. I am so glad that my favourite Prince found her. ❤️ #MeghanSussex #MeghanandHarry #IstandwithMeghan #AsEver
