I gave MattY a year off the block list when the blue sky psychopaths said they wanted to kill him with hammers, but he keeps posting retarded things, so he's going back into the box
Replying to @shadihamid
If anything a bit more “Islamist” (just broadly traditionalist on cultural values) influence on Democrats would be welcomed by me and many others.

Can someone explain the joke?
They actually wore the same shirts Halloween 2024 believe it or not. They legitimately didn’t realize that people would justifiably interpret it as celebrating Charlie Kirk’s assassination

Two of the poll workers at my place were wearing flag apparel, and two were wearing black. I did wonder if it was a partisan split. This is just gross
A poll worker in Minnesota. They just want free healthcare, guys.

Hold on, I'm getting reports that these shirts are several years old. Context collapse comes for us all, I guess

This is an important thing to keep in mind when evaluating EA views on pausing AI. They really believe that they will be given their own planets if Anthropic creates ASI.
Scott Alexander speaks unironically of all the planets his friends are going to own in the Singularity. He’s not impartially assessing unilateral pauses to see if they could work— he doesn’t want Pause to happen bc he wants the technology to be built, delivering him to a post-scarcity paradise where he will never die. Listening to Scott on the viability of simply not building world-ending technology is like listening to a Scientologist about psychiatry. His religion is against it. Note that I don’t think this about the other people at AI Futures Project. Particularly Scott, clearly and many times in his own words, feels like it would be the greatest letdown in the world to not get the Singularity or go bust trying. He’s not a serious person trying to do what’s best for the world here.

The 90s anime really had those insanely detailed mech designs. We still haven’t gotten back to that level

If you support children not dying, you should support capitalism.
🤖 Made with AI
I think about all of the ways society has always hated children from Guns to poverty, housing, education, school meals, baby formula. Horrific what children have to endure everyday. We have left them with nothing. No politician should be allowed to even enjoy a meal in public.

Yesterday the NYT published a list of what was alleged to be over 500 Michigan “Jewish leaders” supporting El-Sayed. The point of doing so was to paint a narrative that he has strong Jewish support in MI. But did the NYT do any vetting to the list? A quick skim and you notice it includes names like “Jack Mehoff”. I happen to know that one of the names is someone deceased. A majority of the signatories don’t even use their full names, just a last initial, so it’s impossible to confirm these are even real people or Jewish. Why would they publish a story about a completely unreliable list with random names on a google sheet? Because the point was the narrative.

> unlike Mike Rogers, who is a tool of Donald Trump and billionaire donors. Wrong argument
This is a despicable betrayal from Rep. Stevens. Senate Democrats are united in our support for Abdul El-Sayed, because we know he will fight for the economic interests of working families in Michigan, unlike Mike Rogers, who is a tool of Donald Trump and billionaire donors.

The correct argument against Mike Rogers is that he was the biggest defender of the Patriot Act, and that he thinks if you don't know your privacy was violated, you haven't been harmed
