The white house sure has received a lot of rx opioid pain medications from the Capitol Hill pharmacy. A lot of other naughty drugs, too. But I suppose that's 'different.' Unnecessary for the masses. Necessary for our betters. Not lol

It's the same way that politicians use the for-profit addiction industry to further their careers. It looks like they're doing something beneficial when they're really setting people up to die. teapawt.net/JenniferShutt/status/1…

I would LOVE to know how they plan to enforce this
So on one hand, we have law enforcement organizations complaining that they cant enforce the DEA kratom ruling & on the other hand, we have counties in Washington making it illegal for regular civilians to give kratom away to friends hahaha..that'll be easy to enforce! Unreal!

To be disabled is almost always to be traumatized. It’s living in a body that can’t keep you safe. It’s doctors dismissing you. It’s family and friends abandoning you. It’s living in a society that doesn’t see your value. It’s constantly having to prove your life is worth living.

The Matthew Perry debate has people arguing about addiction, personal responsibility, and the disease model. What I think is missing is the mass tort angle. Consider how useful the “no responsibility, only a victim” narrative is in a courtroom. Pharma, the doctor, the pharmacy, the distributor—everyone becomes a potential defendant. A jury has to be persuaded to assign responsibility to those defendants. A public already conditioned to see addiction entirely as something done TO someone is a receptive jury pool. You can recognize exploitation and hold people accountable without pretending personal agency doesn’t exist. Who benefits when that distinction disappears? Don't believe me? Listen to the lawyers saying it themselves.

Breaking news: My doctor says I have a severe vitamin THC deficiency. Symptoms include giving a fuck, tolerating stupid people, and being way too sober for this circus. The treatment? A fat joint, a comfortable chair, and absolutely nobody talking to me for the next hour. Prayers are appreciated, but good weed works faster.

We're painted a very different picture of "the opioid crisis" when the data is represented correctly. We find there are no "waves." Drug controllers' narratives completely decay when we see the data correctly displayed.
Someone much better at math and charts would need to recompile the data and score unregulated drugs. Without that the whole dataset is junk. Garbage in -> garbage out.

one of the most uncomfortable realities in medicine is that healthcare itself can become a cause of injury, disability, and death.

This is the ignorance Complex Pain Patients are up against: 1% of the population struggles with addiction, you support the medical abandonment and euthanasia of the 99% who don't struggle with SUD? Just leave us to suffer to the point of medical collapse, and suicide? Illicits in desperation? A life of torturous pain until we beg for death, and then put us down like old dogs because we respond well to RX opioids for pain management with zero risk of developing addiction? You're WRONG. #WeDontRecover #OpioidsSaveLives #DeathByDoctor
Sounded to me like you want opiates or pain killers and I’ve watched that BS kill good people. What meds are you on, and are they being used to get you to stand on your own without them?

They will do anything to avoid giving a patient safe legal rx opioid pain medications, which relieve pain reduce blood pressure and increase patient comfort. The 'addiction' craze is a mania, and vastly overblown.

My father was poisoned with Seroquel when he was in the ER with a broken hip. He lost his mind, startled hallucinating, and it tooks months for his cognitive abilities to return. Then we were gaslit by hospital staff who pretended to not know what happened. I asked specifically about antipsychotics and they tried to claim my father was “agitated” (yeah, that happens with pain) and that he seemed to have cognitive decline (total lie- he was sharp as a tack before they poisoned him.) The fact of the matter was he was of a certain age and an ER doc wanted to shut him up and not treat his pain with an actual pain medication.

I’ve seen 2 suicides today due to that fuck ass 7OH chemical soup. Of course the news and the families are calling it “Kratom.” 7OH IS NOT KRATOM! Listen, you don’t have to take your life because of the withdrawals or because you are scared to get off them. Try the full spectrum liquid Mitragynine extracts for the first 3-5 days then transition onto Botanical leaf powder. Taper from there if you’re just done done. That’s what majority of my social media followers have done. I’m sorry you were lied to. I’m sorry you’re trapped but listen to me and what I’ve seen through my advocacy. Trying that regimen will be your way out. Utilize MAT meds as your last resort. The federal ban is coming mid-November…PREPARE NOW AS WELL!

Because we live in a society where it makes so much sense to implant a device for $100k that has known harmful results just to avoid allowing a small amount of opioids for pain. Sure, makes sense to me.

What I found odd was a fairly hostile medic offered me a spinal cord stimulator before anything else. Aren’t those dangerous contraptions supposed to be a last resort?

@CADCA funny how your recent blog post of Kolodny's Kratom is an Opioid opinion piece states : "Medications such as buprenorphine have shown promise in reported cases, although more research is needed to establish standardized treatment guidelines." Exactly how much $$ has CADCA taken from Indivior, makers of Suboxone (bupe/naloxone)? I mean your 2024 report shows at least $100,000, right? Seems to be quite the long term financial relationship you have going on with Indivior. What a coincidence that you're blogging about kratom, and banning it would greatly benefit the pharma companies that fund your org! Where is your financial disclosure in your post? No? You don't need to give that info when discussing kratom? That's only reserved for pain orgs and Purdue? Huh, weird.

Get the Dea out of medicine and pain management at least. If they want to waste money and time and everything else in their futile pursuit of coke heroin meth nitazenes … bad idea but ok gives them something to pretend to do (government work) but get out of medicine good grief
More evidence that the Controlled Substances Act MUST be dismantled, the DEA MUST have oversight, because it is government policies and DEA action/inaction that is WORSENING the drug overdose situation! youtube.com/watch?v=rfOYn-KQ…

The federal government is making the distinction clear. U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche recently highlighted the stark difference between natural kratom leaf and lab-made synthetic derivatives on national television: "There are certain forms of kratom in their natural form that a lot of people swear by and they have a lot of potential benefits, but there are synthetics that are very, very dangerous." We must protect access to traditional, unadulterated botanical kratom while aggressively cracking down on dangerous, highly concentrated synthetic alkaloids. Ban the synthetics. Protect the plant.
