$SPCX and Skydance have held talks about a potential distribution deal, per Semafor, on top of the roughly $1 billion Musk just put into the company. X-CEO John Malone called this one six days ago. the cable billionaire predicted a global output deal with Skydance movies and shows streaming over Starlink and Starlink connected cellphones.
Skydance content (post-Paramount + Warner Bros. Discovery merger). One of the largest libraries in the industry—Warner Bros./New Line films and IP (Harry Potter, DC Comics/Batman, Lord of the Rings, Dune, etc.), Paramount titles (Mission: Impossible, Star Trek, Top Gun, Transformers), HBO prestige series (Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, etc.), CBS, CNN, Nickelodeon/SpongeBob, Discovery channels, and more. Streaming assets include HBO Max + Paramount+ (combined 200M+ subscribers) plus Pluto TV and others; the company plans to evolve toward a more unified service.
Bundling and ARPU lift- Pairing premium content with Starlink internet (especially in rural, remote, or high-latency-sensitive areas where terrestrial options are weak) increases stickiness and revenue per user. This mirrors classic cable/satellite bundles or Amazon’s Prime model. Starlink’s existing high-ARPU aviation/maritime customers and growing mobile ambitions amplify this.
Global reach and unique pipes – Satellite coverage in 174 markets and expanding capacity is hard for pure streamers or terrestrial ISPs to match everywhere. Content could be optimized for Starlink’s network (low latency LEO) and for mobility (planes, ships, vehicles).
Vertical integration potential – SpaceX/Starlink + X (social/ads) + potential AI tools from xAI + Skydance content creates a stack few others have. Malone has explicitly pointed to the need for traditional media to morph into streams and combine with social/AI.

The amount of $SPCX alpha hidden in plain sight is crazy. I've never seen anything like this in my ~14 years of investing in Elon… Like, he and the team are spoon-feeding large amounts of very detailed, precise projections via earnings calls and interviews — datapoints even junior analysts know how to insert into their spreadsheets. Yet institutional investors are both super under-allocated and not paying attention. No investment advice, obviously, but I gotta say all you need to do to capture this alpha is pay a little attention to what they are telling you in plain English and have a little patience for the market to re-rate it after the lockup (which is largely behind us). A good investment should be easy — and this will be yet another case study to prove just that.
