Justice for Dr. Shubhankar Gautam. The sudden and tragic death of Dr. Shubhankar Gautam, an AIIMS alumnus and urologist associated with Heritage Institute of Medical Sciences, Varanasi, has deeply shaken the medical fraternity. We urge the authorities to ensure a fair, transparent and time-bound investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death and bring out the truth. The Democratic Medical Association strongly condemns the arbitrary suspension and hostel eviction order issued by Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS, Hapur) against striking medical interns demanding fair compensation. Suppressing young doctors fighting for basic rights and a dignified stipend through threats and punitive actions is unacceptable. We stand in full solidarity with the suspended interns and demand the immediate revocation of this suspension order and a fair, constructive dialogue. #MedicalInterns #FairStipend #SIMSHapur #MedicalFraternity #DMA @rahulGandhi @thetribunechd @JPNadda @NMC_BHARAT @sarkari_doctor @narendramodi @ShubhSolanki @amitvyas11123 @Xpress_edex @dainikbhaskar @medicaldialogs @TheNewIndian_in @htTweets @Indian_doctor @DFlex007 @ani @MoHFW_INDIA @PTI_News @nsui @TOIIndiaNews @AamAadmiParty @SanjayAzadSln @HMOIndia @bspindia @BJP4UP @IndiaDirectNew4 @NUJofficial @India_NHRC @AamAadmiParty @AnujaJaiswalTOI @timesofindia @hindust @yadavakhilesh @DmHapur @hapurpolice @HapurNews @CDO_HAPUR @advsatyamrajput @DrDhruvchauhan @medicaldialogs @senprem2001 @ANI @ians_india @republic @aajtak @AnmolBali9

What is happening at Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences, Hapur? This is completely unacceptable. Doctors were reportedly protesting for a stipend hike, yet the manner in which they were allegedly treated raises serious concerns. We strongly urge @Uppolice and @hapurpolice to immediately intervene, ensure the safety of the doctors, and conduct a fair inquiry into the incident. Doctors demanding their legitimate rights are not criminals. They deserve to be heard with dignity and respect, not treated with force or intimidation. @myogiadityanath @CMOfficeUP @sachinyadav___1 @drsfaizanahmad @aimsa_fmsw

Replying to @CMOfficeUP
@CMOfficeUP — your Cabinet raised intern stipend to ₹25,000. Private colleges in Hapur still pay ₹10,000 and threaten students + parents for asking what the government itself ordered. Silence here looks like protection of the medical mafia. Is a lawful stipend now illegal? @UPGovt @Uppolice @hapurpolice @myogiadityanath @hapurpolice please look into it rather than enjoying tea and snacks with these medical mafias.
This is NOT acceptable, sir. Instead of supporting the ongoing strike at SIMS Hapur, you are being toxic toward the very people who are the future of medicine. Who knows, someday they may be bigger than you. Everyone should see how the protesting interns are allegedly being treated by Dr. Richa, HOD, Department of Medicine, and Dr. Rajesh, Professor, Department of Medicine. Every medico deserves dignity, respect & the right to raise genuine concerns peacefully. 🩺✊ @hapurpolice @brajeshpathakup @DrDhruvchauhan @FAIMA_INDIA_ @DMA_India15 @Amitvyas11123 @yadavakhilesh @RahulGandhi @myogiadityanath #SIMSHapur #SupportInterns #JusticeForInterns #medicos #doctor #mbbs

Paper leaks deserve nationwide outrage because they undermine merit. But can we also have a serious, respectful discussion about reservation in NEET PG? NEET UG has its own long-standing policy debate. However, when it comes to postgraduate medical education, is it time to re-evaluate whether the current system best serves both fairness and the future of healthcare? Many believe that support should be based primarily on economic disadvantage, ensuring that every deserving student gets an equal opportunity while maintaining merit in higher medical education. This isn’t about being against anyone—it’s about asking whether the system should evolve. Let’s discuss with facts, respect, and an open mind. @BJP4India @INCIndia @yadavakhilesh @RJDforIndia #NEETPG #MeritMatters #MedicalEducation #ReservationDebate #EconomicCriteria #Doctors #MedicalStudents #Reservationfreeindia #reservation o

“DMA Strongly Condemns the Brutal Assault on Healthcare Workers at AIIMS Bhubaneswar” The Democratic Medical Association (DMA) strongly condemns the shameful and violent attack on doctors, interns, and nursing staff at AIIMS Bhubaneswar by patient attendants. Despite the medical team's timely CPR and every possible resuscitative effort to save a critically ill patient, healthcare workers were rewarded with violence. Interns and nurses were physically assaulted, female staff members were harassed, doctors were threatened with death, and hospital property was vandalized. Such barbaric acts against those who dedicate their lives to saving others are completely unacceptable and must not be normalized. DMA demands:
• Immediate arrest of all accused individuals.
• Strict legal action under applicable laws protecting healthcare workers.
• Enhanced security measures in all hospitals, especially emergency and critical care areas.
• Zero tolerance for violence against healthcare professionals. A hospital is a place of healing, not a battleground. The safety and dignity of healthcare workers cannot be compromised. #ProtectDoctors #StopViolenceAgainstHealthcareWorkers #AIIMSBhubaneswar #DMA #HealthcareSafety #ZeroTolerance @AIIMSBhubaneswr @dcpbbsr @MoHFW_INDIA @NMC_BHARAT @HFWOdisha @CMO_Odisha @DGPOdisha @cpbbsrctc @PMOIndia @PIB_India @Amitvyas11123 @Aditi14Bhardwaj @DFlex007 @AnujaJaiswalTOI @DrPriya_anshu @ShubhSoalnki @shubhankrmishra @ReshuRolly @doc_biceps

After the violent clash and allegations of assault involving resident doctors and attendants at SRN Hospital, Prayagraj Trauma Centre on 20 May, the college administration has suspended all resident doctors posted in Surgery Unit-2 and Orthopaedics Unit-2 pending inquiry. But the real question is — is this approach justified? Doctors are assaulted, abused, and attacked… and then the very same doctors are suspended without a fair and transparent investigation. This pattern is becoming increasingly common.
The same happened in AMU, and now a similar situation is unfolding here as well. Violence against healthcare workers cannot be normalized, and selective action against doctors alone sends a deeply demoralizing message to the entire medical fraternity. न्याय कब मिलेगा? @prayagraj_pol @ADGZonPrayagraj @DM_PRAYAGRAJ @drmncrald @CommissionerPrg @INCUttarPradesh @mediacellsp @Uppolice @UPGovt @sarkari_doctor @AnujaJaiswalTOI @priyankagandhi @priyankac19 @dimpleyadav @PriyaSarojMP @JKMedicalAsso @Amitvyas11123

Bihar healthcare — what official data shows: • Hospital bed density ~0.22 per 1,000 population • 50%+ doctor posts vacant in multiple districts • Specialist shortages: ~86% anaesthesia, ~70% ,paediatrics posts unfilled • Essential emergency equipment & maternity drugs missing in many facilities • ₹69,791 cr allocated (2016–22); ~31% unspent as per records • No publicly available evidence of uniform national pay parity for doctors These figures reflect system gaps, not individual blame. Article 14 of the Constitution guarantees equality before law and equal protection of laws. However, the new UGC rules dilute independent grievance redressal mechanisms, creating unequal access to remedies within universities. When General Category students lose their only neutral forum for redress, while other statutory protections continue elsewhere, the result is inequality in effect, even if the policy appears neutral on paper. Equality is not about identical rules, but about equal and effective protection. Any reform that weakens remedies for one group while preserving them for others violates the spirit of Article 14 and principles of natural justice. UGC must revisit these rules to ensure fairness, accountability, and equal protection for all students.@narendramodi @AmitShah @BJP4UP @BJP4Bihar @BJP4India @BHUMIHAR_SAMAAJ #ugc #UGC_RollBack #UGCRegulations #UGC_काला_कानून_वापस_लो #UGCBlackLaw #UGCAct_BlackAct #UGC_RollBackस्वाहा #UGC_काले_कानून #bhumihar
