Is Sean McDermott or Mike Tomlin or Brian Flores an improvement over what the Saints have now? Unquestionably. And if Loomis is not fired, it is the shortest path to having a fun, watchable team. But if you really want to win and by win I mean get back to 2006-11 type winning then you have to hire an innovative, outside the Saints ecosphere GM (Brian Hampton/Adam Berry) who will change the organization’s processes (stop running the team like it is 1975) and pair him with a McVay/Shanahan type play caller who will maximize Shough. That is literally the only way to sustained success. Everything else is window dressing.

The shoes are legal. The name on the side of them is not. Caleb Williams went out and bought a pair of cleats with his own money, from a company he has no deal with and makes nothing from, because of what is underneath them. They are made by a company called Caddix, and the part that matters is the studs. The founder, Jack Rasmussen, says they are built to release under what he calls injurious load. In plain words, the stud is supposed to let go of the grass before your knee does. That is aimed squarely at the injury that ends careers without anybody touching you. A man plants a foot, changes direction, and the foot stays while the rest of him turns. Caddix says on its own website that the shoes are designed to reduce the rotational force on the knees and ankles. So the quarterback of the Chicago Bears, the first overall pick in 2024, bought them himself and wore them against the Atlanta Falcons. The NFL fined him 11,941 dollars. Not for the cleats. The cleats are fine. He did not cover up the Caddix name on the outside of them, and league rules only let a player show a logo belonging to a company the NFL has a marketing deal with. Nike. Adidas. Under Armour. Then he wore them again the next week against New England without covering them. A second offense is 23,882 dollars, which is exactly double the first one. The league has not said yet whether that one is coming. So the rule is not about his knees. It is about whose name is allowed to be seen on a football field, and the answer is the names that pay for it. Caddix says it will cover the fine, and any more of them. Now be straight about the other side of this, because it is the whole reason you are reading about a shoe company you had never heard of yesterday. Caddix just got more attention from one fine than it could have bought. The company is new. The injury claims about those studs come from the people selling them, not from the league and not from a medical journal, and I cannot find anybody independent who has gone and tested them. Offering to pay the fine of a quarterback you have no contract with is a very good day at work for whoever runs their marketing. Both of those things can be true. The company is getting a windfall out of this. And a 24 year old is still paying out of pocket for equipment he believes keeps him on the field, and getting charged almost twelve thousand dollars for the crime of leaving the name visible. He has not stopped wearing them.

Ellen is in over his head! It's obvious for everyone except Gayle and Mickey! Continue sucking ass @Saints ... My entire neighborhood ridicules me every game day when I put up my pennants and flags! And Gayle is the laughing stock of ownership right now!
Revealing comment from #Steelers LB Elandon Roberts. Noticed on film Saints QB Tyler Shough wasn't making checks himself - HC Kellen Moore relayed them in. So Steelers defense stayed static until < 15 seconds when playcallers can't talk to QB. Two examples of it below. First one, Patrick Queen runs into A-gap w/ 14 seconds and Saints run right into him. This was EXACTLY the technique Erik McCoy mentioned after the game that caused the Saints' issues.
Watch these reps from Yayha Black (94), lined up to the left of center. 1st: slants across the C’s face, eats a double and keeps the OL from climbing to Queen, who is unblocked to the RB. 2nd: slants again, rips free, drops the RB for a loss. This is some Casey Hampton stuff.

Is Kellen Moore or Mickey Loomis more at fault for the way the New Orleans #Saints have performed?

OTD in #Saints history (10/25/1987), Jim Mora gave us his Woulda Coulda Shoulda speech! And it worked. That 1987 Saints team ripped off 9 straight wins after this which included defeating the 49ers 3 weeks later on the road! Shoutout to Big Easy Bloopers for the clip. #WhoDat

I’ve tried to see any advantage Kellen Moore gives the Saints on Gameday…I don’t see it…6 first quarter points in 7 games is awful…offense is never ready to go

New Orleans Saints lose their 4th straight “home” game to the Steelers in Paris. Saints with only 18 yards rushing on 17 carries. Tyler Shough led the team with 6 yards. Pittsburgh racked up 148 yards on the ground. A final edition of #GarlandontheAvenue with the Saints in Paris.

Yesterday... not tomorrow!
Fire Kellen Moore tomorrow. Make Staley interim HC. Win 4-5 games. Saints get a top 8 pick. Flores HC. Steichen OC. Riddick GM. Draft the best defensive player available in R1.
