This is huge! I just saw a demo of an app to vibe design robot clothing. It simulates cloth physics, contact points, thermodynamics, and applies different gaits to different humanoid robots 🤯 Is robot fashion coming?

Weekend hack: HackerTube. I was annoyed with YouTube's recommendations so I had Claude filter down 43M comments over 20 years of HN to 6,454 videos that keep being recommended. *Significantly* better viewing experience, ~2 hours with Opus 5.5: hackertube.org/ - Excellent recs without any logins (state is kept in local browser session) - Thumbnail is a representative frame from middle of the video instead of the super duper A/B test hyper-optimized user uploads - Underlying data from the comment analysis as one zip file, point your Claude at it and ask for your own version - HackerTube Longs ✊ A bit more on the process: I use Claude Code (desktop app for Mac), Opus 5.5 on Medium effort as my default. I only talk to Claude and have it do everything, the only "manual work" I helped with in tandem was in the browser (reminiscent of MenuGen): 1) I had to create some kind of API key from Google Cloud UI to query YouTube for video metadata, 2) I booted up a VPS box for serving and 3) I bought the domain name. Once the box was up I gave Claude the IP and told it update, secure, harden, deploy and optimize the code, and it did the whole thing. Many awesome projects that would have normally taken weeks/months even can now be few-shotted for breakfast. What else are we not thinking of.

Might as well build a fancy UI for my simulator while we're at it 🤣

Asking for a friend, anyone got a spare $8K laying around that I can borrow with 67% APR interest rate? No reason, image unrelated.

Things are... quite janky right now, but very exciting to see.

Update on Ycode's iOS Simulator, we finally got guest networking working in the simulator! 🥳

Just thought I'd put this out in the wild, just in case someone like me wanted to replicate @karpathy's MicroGPT model with his course, and found that the Hellaswag implementation isn't working due to dead (404) GitHub links.

This is huge for robotics. The first ROS meetup in New York City is happening this week! 🗽 Word on the street is that NYC is seeing the birth of various robotics startups, based in Manhattan and Brooklyn Navy Yard. See you guys there!

Ycode’s iOS Simulator on arm64 Linux keeps getting faster. Cold boot ~65 s → ~33 s, snapshot restore ~6–9 s. Swipes went from ~5–7 fps to 45–60 fps bursts. Safari now launches and renders pages (local only, no guest networking yet). Still clean-room, Metal→Vulkan. Experimental, BYO runtime.
