St Thomas mount railway station does not have lifts despite recent upgrades, french stations have. My paati and friends on wheelchair have to struggle, while my French friends don't.
Any guesses on who signed off on the upgrades?

There is an American tech YouTuber called Jerry Rigs Everything. Most of his videos are about him taking apart devices, understanding how they work etc.
He has 10.2 million subscribers
In 2005 his wife had a horse riding accident as a result of which she was paralyzed waist down. She now required a wheel chair to move about
All high quality outdoor wheelchairs that he tested costed upwards of $20,000
Considering he was a tech Youtuber with some fame he could have simply called one company to get one for free.
He didn't do that
Like he does on his channel, he took apart a wheelchair, understood its components and then built one on his own
He then decided to sell them in public for $999. He called it the Paradox
Thanks to him, most of us can have access to high mobility, all terrain wheelchairs.
This is what tech Youtubers abroad do. They actually make a difference

A single media article sparked a narrative that a "3-column pier" was converted to a "2-column portal frame" due to a design deviation over metro stations on Anna Saalai.
That's factually incorrect—the station-zone portal frame was always 2-column, designed to rest directly on the station's D-walls as originally planned.
Suddenly, every YouTube channel is giving it a spin. While sensational content sells easily to audiences, it deeply confuses engineering students and infra buffs.
Reports claiming extra portal frames seems to incorrect too. Recent satellite imagery shows standard pier structures completed, with portal frames aligning precisely with the underground station boxes.
The Highways Department must clear up these confusions. Being transparent about engineering realities and design iterations creates invaluable case studies for future engineers and students.

Also, a new satellite terminal at Meenambakkam, can’t be a substitute for a greenfield airport (Parandur). Chennai’s bottleneck is runways, not terminals. A satellite terminal won’t solve this; at best, it could serve as a cargo terminal, easing truck congestion on GST Road.
