Not to be overly selfish, but I’d quite like the chancellor to leave pensions alone tomorrow given that I’m 17 days away from taking mine.
Me: Why are you quietly asking everyone to stockpile emergency rations like it ain’t no big thing?
The Government: No specific reason we haven’t told you about. There’s no likelihood of something we know about happening and us hiding it until it’s too late. Why would we lie?
