Two pieces of news: - we've decided to go by Faeglade Plurality now, rather than our previous system/plurality name - you can find us on on tumblr under the same name because we'd post there than on twitter for now

This, basically It's the common problems of people tying their identity to something that is socially constructed - which people understand via models - and losing it if we show that the borders on the map are arbitrary, and that we can make different maps for the same territory

Yup, I noticed this too. It's funny because everything you learn in psychology and mental health about good communication is literally what most of us autists ALREADY DO. That's actually what a lot of my coaching entails: teaching people communication skills based in my autism 😂

Forums are good (in principle), we'd be very curious to see if Twitter also bans links to forums. And we can personally attest that this one is pretty good, if you like speculative fiction
New reason why having a Sufficient Velocity account is good: you can safely tell people about it without getting thrown in Twitter jail.

TFW your headmate is too sad/depressed to go on a date, and thus you do it for her #pluralgang #FFXIV v. cute comic, multi-part

💜ad-hoc framing issues of disability visibility in terms of Performance, as in gender performance a la Judith Butler no idea if it's a commonly thing, it made sense in context - how others perceive you or not, as long as you fit expectations of what a disabled person is like
We uploaded a video on YouTube for the first time in two years: an interview with @WeAreAlexandra about what where we’ve been, what we’ve been up to, and where we’re (hopefully) be going ❤️ youtu.be/w9tiiQgYlGA

I just learned that there's a coven of locksmiths STILL mad at me because of this paper I published twenty years ago. So let me repost it here. mattblaze.org/papers/mk.pdf

Another benefit of recognising we are plural, for us: negative self-talk became really difficult without including your headmates, too which would be insulting also, when it still happens, we often tend to contradict whomever just did it so it happens far less now
