Replying to @FPX500
The guru culture is getting out of hand...
firstly they destroy the image of trading in general and now they are even coming for orderflow...
so annyoing to see since it hurts the whole industry image and the ones which actually do this for real.
I truly miss the times when trading was not as mainstream as it is today.

📊 $BTC HTF Case Study & Analysis
I’m approaching BTC through three scenarios: a corrective continuation, a bullish re-accumulation, and a deeper bearish markdown.
Here’s how I’m positioning myself for each.
📉 Base Case: Corrective Distribution
We remain in a corrective price distribution. Value is gradually migrating lower, with local ranges shifting downwards. From an Auction Market Theory perspective, this suggests that the market is increasingly accepting lower prices.
That said, we have to acknowledge the underlying bullish strength. Despite the distribution, we haven’t seen an immediate, impulsive markdown following the range.
My positioning:
• Swing short opened in the upper regions.
• Small hedge longs built continuously to capture local opportunities and protect against upside continuation.
I’m currently holding a hedge long that has already offered additional profit opportunities and has been secured to break-even.
The Target -> $77.2K
This is a key area where I expect the market could react, potentially initiating another accumulation phase before the next leg higher.
📈 Bull Case: Re-accumulation
The bullish scenario starts right here, within the current range.
What I need to see is an impulsive markup to the upside. This would suggest that the current range is a prolonged re-accumulation rather than distribution.
My hedge long provides exposure to this scenario.
However, I currently assign it a lower probability than my base case, which is why I’m only hedged with one position.
📉 Bear Case: Deeper Markdown
This scenario initially follows the base case, but with one crucial difference: BTC leaves the current range through a clear markdown.
In that event, I would expect the $77.2K nPOC to potentially fail as support, opening the door for further downside and a redistribution of value at lower levels.
A revisit to sub-$70K would then become a possibility, particularly if price moves to fill the inefficiencies below.
My existing swing short provides exposure to this scenario.
⚖️ Conclusion: Probabilities Over Predictions
I’ve structured my positioning to account for all three scenarios.
I don’t need to know with certainty which direction BTC will take. I need to understand the possible outcomes, assess their probabilities, and position accordingly.
As a quantitative trader, my focus is on Expected Value, risk management, and extracting value from the market over a large sample of trades.
To the perma-bulls and perma-bears fighting it out on X: have fun.
I’ll stick to the probabilities. 📊
📊 $BTC Auction Overview
Contrary to much of the current sentiment, I’m remaining cautious and not expecting an immediate continuation to the upside.
I’ve publicly built a swing short position at range Highs, and I want to explain the thesis behind it; including what would invalidate it.
📈 Higher Timeframe Structure
Looking at BTC’s HTF auction structure, we can identify that the broader uptrend remains intact. I don’t expect this trend to disappear anytime soon.
The move originated from the prior accumulation range around $57K–$67K. Since then, BTC has broken out impulsively and continued accepting higher value.
My base case is now a corrective move to the downside following this impulsive rally.
I’m not calling for new lows, nor am I turning into a perma-bear. But objectively assessing the current picture, a correction is a plausible scenario.
This means we have to consider whether the current range is developing into a distribution zone, where value is being redistributed as sellers offload some of their gains.
🔍 Local Confirmation
We’re already seeing the first signs supporting this thesis:
-> Value is increasingly accepting lower.
-> Volume distribution is continuously skewed to the downside across both local ranges.
This doesn't guarantee further downside, but it provides a basis for my current positioning.
⚖️ Positioning & Risk Management
There is an important reason behind this trade: I’m a BTC spot investor who accumulated around the $60K region.
With substantial spot exposure, hedging is a necessary part of managing my overall portfolio risk. I don’t need to be bearish on BTC long term to hedge against a potential correction.
So before the keyboard warriors arrive: hedging spot exposure is a deliberate risk-management decision, not a contradiction of my bullish HTF thesis.
🚨 Invalidation
If BTC impulsively breaks above the current range, I’ll reassess the short thesis.
Such a move could indicate that this range was actually a re-accumulation event rather than distribution.
I’m also taking local long positions within the ranges to hedge against that possibility.
Meanwhile, my swing short has already secured profits, with the stop moved to break-even.
I’m currently risk-free on the remaining position, leaving me in a favourable position regardless of how the next move develops.
The goal isn't to predict every move correctly.
It's to manage exposure, follow the auction, and adapt when the market invalidates the thesis.

$BTC is starting to pick up volatility again.
Overnight, we saw another recovery from the previous weak move, with price now deviating back inside the range.
But this time, there is a key difference.
📊 Order Flow
This reclaim is showing significantly more strength than the previous attempt.
We saw supply being absorbed below the range, followed by a high-momentum reclaim back inside value.
Price has now reached the prior range POC, and the reaction is looking more constructive for the bulls.
Instead of an immediate rejection like last time, we’re seeing aggressive buyers actively attempting to reclaim the level.
Of course, what matters now is whether these buyers actually get rewarded; or end up trapped at resistance.
💼 Positioning
My larger swing short from above remains open, with SL moved to break-even and partial profits secured.
With this position, I’m playing my primary scenario of the current range eventually developing into a distribution.
However, we’re now starting to see genuine local strength, and I have to adapt accordingly.
That means hedging my swing exposure.
If order flow continues to align, I’ll look to enter another long on the next small retracement.
This allows me to respect the local bullish strength without abandoning my broader thesis.
For now, the key is simple: watch whether buyers can sustain acceptance above the range POC.

$BTC is ranging. PA is dead.
I see a lot of people on CT saying they'll just sit back and wait.
Wrong mindset.
This is where your edge is built.
• Run the backtests.
• Write the code.
• Refine your setups.
• Review your losers.
When volatility comes back, you won't have time to prepare.
You'll either be ready or you'll be chasing.
Do the work now. Collect the rewards later.

Orderflow showing some signs of spot participation now. I will remain carefull.
I had a hedge short at the 2nd attempt of 61.8 FIB.
Took TP1 & moved SL to BE.
Now with another sweep, I will try this very agressive approach as I remain bearish.
If SL gets Hit on this one I will be more or less B/E for today.
If it hits TP, this will be a great RR trade.
