I didnโ€™t come to the UK to survive. I came here to thrive, develop, and grow, and my MSc paved the way for that. The job advert I applied for specifically required an MSc in project management or equivalent, not a driverโ€™s license. A driverโ€™s license wouldnโ€™t have secured me a project manager role in one of the largest GP practices in the UK. The only thing I did with my driverโ€™s license in 2023 was a care job while I was still in school. Yes, a lot of people came here just to survive, but I had bigger goals and additional motivation. It is incredibly disrespectful to compare an MSc with a driverโ€™s license. What is wrong with you people?
What can your Msc bring to the table like now now???? DL was delivering COS while Msc was still buffering, till the extent that white paper caught up with it. No disrespect to your Msc, but in terms of survival which is what majority came here for, DL is the current champion.

People in my circle are not surviving by chasing auto or manual licenses to stay back in the country. I guess this has a massive effect on how ambitious you are as an individual. I got my license on 7 July 2023 while I was in school and I did domiciliary care with it until the end of 2023. I had the option of getting a COS from my employer at the time but I turned it down. I paid ยฃ15,000 for my tuition and I was willing to work really hard to experience breakthrough. At the time, I was living with my brother and I saw firsthand how he would be awake at 3am honing his skills and enrolling in additional courses just to gain employment. I would listen while he attended interviews in his room and all I wanted was to smash interviews like him. Today, he is a cybersecurity expert with the NHS. One of my friends in school got a project management job before we even graduated, and he was sponsored right away. I have a friend who is a top graphic designer and earns really well. So you see, I cannot afford to not succeed. I cannot afford to not get a job that aligns with what I studied in school. The greatness of those around me has just rubbed off on me. So my mode of survival might simply be different from that of others. For me, there is no basis for comparison when talking about a driverโ€™s license and an MSc.

You can never compare a DL with MSC 100%. But in the survival phase, the most important thing is to be able to stay in the UK and your DL will probably get you a COS faster than a grad job, irony is in the UK, apprenticeship > MSC for starters

Iโ€™ve now been making music for 8 years. Last night was the FIRST TIME EVER both my parents have seen me perform. To top it off it was in the city I grew up in. OTTAWA, CANADA at Bluesfest. Truly one of the most memorable nights of my life. Both my parents came from Nigeria and sacrificed a lot and to hear them say they were proud of me and that I was doing an amazing job representing our family meant to world to me. God is good. I'm sharing two videos for reference. The first one depicts Psquare reuniting in an interview, where Peter humbly admits his mistakes and acknowledges his twin's choices, which contributed to their growth in streams and fan base. Money wasn't an issue, they said. In the second video, Cynthia Morgan shares her side of the story, recounting how Peter approached her before signing with Jude, a decision she now regrets. To date, she claims she hasn't been paid any royalty from her music, Meanwhile, Peter has discovered his brother's alleged misconduct, leaving the matter in EFCC's hands.#mixofusng

My 3-year-old walked into my room audaciously with an empty bottle of juice I left on the table saying, โ€œBottles go in the recycle bin, not on the table. Donโ€™t leave bottles on the table.โ€ Then marched to the trash can and dropped it. I wanted to explain to her that I was going to trash it, but went to the room to get something first, but what does it matter? That was not time to be defensive. I felt small before her, but Iโ€™m grateful to her teacher. Our kids should be better than us.
