Look! It's ANOTHER new album. And this one's mine, all mine. Turn your face towards the sun, close your eyes and drift away on a cloud of warm, fuzzy electronica. Mmm . . . (unless you're driving) torquilmacleod.bandcamp.com/…
New music for you! Boiled Crewman is my electronica/ambient collaboration with Nev Brewin.

My Sunday has been immeasurably improved by this great film director offering seven pieces of advice while apparently wearing a chair.
Alejandro

I've just listened to this. An hour of profound emotional grooviness. Monster playing. Can see this being the soundtrack to my summer. Maybe it can be yours too!
Out today-psych rock embodied with an electronic spirit, spiralling off into thunderous rhythms, blistering solos, ethereal melodies and sampled voices. With an exclusive live reworking by @RichardDevine

I am heartbroken to share the news of Dave Sanborn’s passing, the remarkable alto saxophonist whose music always makes me smile.
Dave wasn’t just an outstanding musician; he was a great friend. Born just one day apart in 1945, we shared countless memories filled with music and laughter over the years.
I had the honor of playing with him on Bowie’s Young Americans album and throughout 1974 on the Diamond Dogs and Soul Tours. Dave’s playing had a sound unlike any other, with a distinct personality shining through every note on tracks like “Young Americans,” “Win,” and “Sweet Thing / Candidate.”
Dave’s passion for music was relentless. After shows, during bus rides, and on flights together, he was always eager to learn new advanced jazz lines and harmonies. His humility in those moments left a lasting impression on me.
Dave, your legacy will live on but will truly be missed. Rest in peace, my friend.

Well @classicjacko that was @BBCFreeThinking @BBCRadio3 @DrMatthewSweet at its best: through the group #Can—& an inadvertent tribute to the late & extraordinary #DamoSuzuki—sinking a shaft into the stratigraphy of Continental rock & 1 of its greatest bands

I've been meaning to make this programme for about a year, but the stars finally aligned and here we are. Sad cosmic coincidence that it comes so soon after Damo left us.
A splash of avant-garde sunshine in troubled, melancholy 1970s West Germany. Future Days is on our turntable and @gwennosaunders @realjahwobble Alan Warner, Mererid Puw Davies & @DrMatthewSweet are listening.
