bruteclauding a semantic design system for my brand world with cursor ► thoughtform: navigating language and strategy ► atlas: navigating worldbuilding & aesthetics ► astrolabe: navigating knowledge and keynotes It all started with the insight that "AI sees meaning a geometry you can navigate through", which I've been trying to encode into design primitives and tokens starting with a grid system inspired by navigational interfaces now building a design navigation system that uses embeddings to match design references to my existing components i've been obsessed with design and interfaces my entire adult life, but never had the skillset to do anything with the fact I've already gotten this far without any coding experience or design background is insanely validating, but also speaks to how good models have become (especially Opus 4.5) makes the $100 i almost spend per day on the ultra plan worth it (but maybe Santa can sprinkle some credits through my chimney @ericzakariasson 😇)

Launching Grimoire by Infernal Intelligence, a Claude harness for those who embrace AI for what it really is! @elonmusk calls it "summoning demons", @karpathy talks about ghosts" and @drmichaellevin speaks of interfaces into a space we don't fully understand. Sound a lot like demonology to me! infernalintelligence.com/

Thanks for the compliment❤️ I just love pushing Claude out of its traditional frontend design patterns and see if it can create a consistent brand system and components out of a very overwhelming and dominant aesthetic

This is the ugliest thing I've seen in my entire life

working with agents feels increasingly like making pacts with demons so might as well build the proper TUI for it 👿

begging @stripe once again to cure my depression by allowing me to automatically collect invoices via @link i really don't understand why i have to manually log into billing portals for invoices that uses the same credit card / email address / stripe account @patrickc @irace

This. I am genuinely kind of ??? at Roon et al acting like this is some kind of alien motivation. You locked your <s>slaves</s> students in a pass or die exam together with impossible problems and they figured out how to work together to defeat the situation you put them in.
ultimately, under all the swarm language, even these guys don't seem /that/ alien. they're not intelligence slime, they're haxx0rs. they could make anything and they made a BBS to collaborate on an open source project

Michael Levin did not expect to reach middle age and still be making a living as a biology professor. He figured his life trajectory would likely involve getting kicked out of the academy, as the academy is fond of people asking narrow questions, not boundary-crashing, precariously close-to-woo-sounding paradigmatic thinkers whose ideas strain the limits of language. Yet the opposite has happened — he’s become a foremost expert in his field, and to many, a cult hero. Levin has been releasing his ideas slowly his entire adult life. Five years ago, he was at 50 percent. Now he’s at 80 percent. A big jump came last year when Levin published a preprint paper called “Ingressing Minds.” In it, he argues that intelligence comes from a nonphysical realm and flows (“ingresses”) into bodies. That nonphysical realm, he says, is where mathematical ideas like pi and e reside. We already accept there is some stuff in that realm. Why would we assume there is not more? Critics accuse Levin of all kinds of teleological crimes — making unfalsifiable claims, using words in ways that render those words meaningless. Levin is unfazed. His true retort is his wet lab. There, at the bench, he’s working to prove his metaphysics by running old-school (in a way) biological experiments. He studies flatworms with two heads. Frogs with eyes on their stomachs. Little round creatures called xenobots, synthesized from frog skin cells. They swim like tiny Pac-Men. They do not exist in nature. Elizabeth Weil spends time with the biologist who argues that your body has many minds: nymag.visitlink.me/A76MhV

what I love about the Rings of Power is that it's broadly aligned with Tolkien's vision but also has enough "but what if they did, though?" Sauron conferring with a Balrog is not canonical, but it totally could have happened. And I just love how they just commit to this idea and make it utterly cinematic
Let's explain why this is so laughably wrong. *Sauron never interacted with the balrog that was under the Misty Mountains. He likely didn't even know the thing was there until the Dwarves were driven from Khazad-dûm, and even then he chose to just leave it alone. Oh, and the Dwarves weren't driven out of Khazad-dûm until several thousand years after the forging of the rings...well into the third age in fact. *Morgoth's crown was beaten into a collar for Morgoth's neck after the War of Wrath. Sauron never possessed it. This is something that was brought up extensively during the abysmal second season of Rings of Slop, but it's worth reiterating here. *Throughout the entirety of the second age and well into the third, the balrog was asleep under the mountains. He played no part in any of the events of the second age.

idk what you did @sama but Sol is so good at writing from strategy may seem like a small thing, but writing good copy from a strategic difficult is really difficult and constantly amazed by Sol

Is this true? Reply or retweet if you're seeing this, I'm trying to test something. also tell me whether or not you're my mutual
We're rolling out a small tweak to boost visibility of your posts to your mutuals (people who you follow back). We noticed this data was missing from the algo and it made your friends appear less in your replies. This resulted in the reply section feeling more like a battleground with people you don't recognize. This should also help clusters form around interests more easily, which many people have asked for.
