Overall Summary of the DA Elective performance. This election has been a cracker for the DA. The Western Cape has been secured. Cape Town has a strong majority again. The Patriotic Alliance, which was a real concern, was minimised. The blue wall has expanded strongly out into the Eastern Cape. Kouga municipality has a DA majority. Nelson Mandela Bay the people of Port Elizabeth – 44%! In Kwa-Zulu Natal as the onslaught of MK smashed the ANC the DA strongholds held. Umgeni was secured with increased majority. In eThekwini, in Durban the DA is the second biggest and will be a major player in negotiations. And virtually all of Kwa-Zulu Natal is hung councils with the DA as one of the key players. It will be enthralling. In Gauteng, the DA is the biggest party. Johannesburg 35%, Tshwane 34%, and Ekurhuleni 31% and various other smaller municipalities some as high as 40% like eMfuleni. The DA are biggest by a good 10 percentage points or more to nearest competitors. Placing the party with incredible negotiating power in the economic hub of the country. In Midvaal the DA governs outright once again. Northern Cape, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and the Free State have seen ANC majorities in various municipalities broken. Manguang, the folks in Bloemfontein, the DA is at 33.4%, the ANC is at 33.9%. It’s an incredible result and one to be immensely proud of. To all the candidates, successful or not. Well done! Elections are hard, hours of time spent on the streets, meetings, canvassing, calling, travelling, relentless and exhausting. And volunteers and activists who just want to help, giving up weekends, weekdays and evenings. Superstars. Well done blues.

😂 I'm looking at these metro results and asking one simple question: WHERE IS ACTIONSA? 😭 But Herman Mashaba is giving interviews like ActionSA has just captured Johannesburg, Tshwane and Durban in one weekend! My brother, before declaring victory, can we first locate the party on the scoreboard?

lol. ActionSA has no organic voter-base or policy. ActionSA is simply a refugee party for asylum seekers from EFF & ANC, that don’t want to go home to fix their party. 😅 These people are too wise for MKP stokvel - yet have inferiority complex towards the DA. Nothing organic.😊

One would imagine Mickey B has more important things to focus on at the moment. Like the governance future of SA's administrative & diplomatic capital city and the continent's economic capital. But, no. He's on social media. Shitposting. Heaven help us.

You mean like the DA did with the GNU after forming a moonshit pact to unseat the ANC? Get lost.

Herman Mashaba seems to have forgotten one small detail: Johannesburg voters actually gave the DA the biggest share of their votes. You cannot claim to want to lead a city while dismissing the democratic choices of its residents because of your personal grudges. This is not your personal kingdom, Herman! 😂 Such arrogance and political ego are exactly why coalition politics in this country struggles. Johannesburg needs leaders who put residents before their egos, not politicians who think their personal dislikes matter more than the voters' wishes. 🇿🇦

Look at the hate in his face when he speaks about Helen Zille 😂 Herman Mashaba talks about Helen Zille like a man who was dumped in 2016 and is still checking her WhatsApp status in 2026! Gog @helenzille , please tell us what happened. What did you do to this man? 10 years later and the wounds are still fresh! 🤣

Great work @Action4SA @nasiphim @HermanMashaba ASA again showing their incompetence.
Residents of Bronkhorstspruit are still without safe drinking water, weeks after contamination left hundreds of people ill. Its ward councillor candidate-elect, Martin Nel, says he cannot yet say when the crisis will be resolved. Tune in to #eNCA on #DStv403.

In 1977, there was a young journalist at the Rand Daily Mail who helped uncover the real cause of Biko's death, totally dismantling the Apartheid government's claim that he died from a hunger strike. Her name was Helen Zille, and you'd be lucky to have her as your Mayor.
Steve Biko’s autopsy report does not allow me to vote for the DA. It’s not possible.

This is what I hate about BLACK LEADERS they habour so much hatred and resentment... They don't have the best interests of our PEOPLE
ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba has drawn a line regarding Democratic Alliance Johannesburg mayoral candidate Helen Zille, stating that he is willing to work with her party, but not if she is part of the equation. Tune in to #eNCA, on #DStv403.

Right now, Herman Mashaba is uniquely placed to transform South African politics for the better. Such opportunities are rare. Yet he risks squandering this one at the altar of his own brittle ego. A Shakespearean tragedy in the making.

Dear Political Parties, In 2024, the electorate voted on bread & butter issues In 2026, the electorate voted on bread & butter issues In 2029, the electorate will vote on bread & butter issues Leave ideology & race politics out of your campaigns. You must understand the issues that give your voters pain. Otherwise, they will punish you

Here is why Helen should be the mayor of JHB; thoughtful, strategic, detail oriented, and laser-focused on service delivery. This is exactly what we require of a Mayor in JHB, and why I support her.
Zille is making sense hate her if you like 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
