I took some heat from insinuating baseball players were the best athletes
Looks like I wasn’t that crazy after all
People hate it, but track doesn’t transfer to sport as well as a lot of people would like you to think

Man what a breath of fresh air from our superintendent! Instead of blaming Charter, Private and Home Schools for the issue of lower student enrollment in Public schools…he embraced the challenge of the free market. Find a way to compete and get better! We want the kids to stay? Let’s make the situation work for them and COMPETE for their trust and business. Love it!!
I was blessed to meet Superintendent Jones at a school event I attended with my wife…he gets it! #HCS

Master the athletic position. This isn't just a drill; it's about building muscle memory so your athletes can perform it unconsciously. Teach the progression, and they'll own it. #AthleticTraining #SportsDrills
Can someone answer me this conundrum
Why is it that Leftist/Liberals say they are all inclusive and accepting of everyone…..
Right up until the moment there’s a slight disagreement, and then the conversation breaks down and it turns into personal attacks on an individuals character that they disagree with.
That seems to me a bit of a hypocrite on their part, because they became some of the most intolerant individuals whenever there is a disagreement.
My personal thoughts on why they are so anger and mad at everyone is because they simply don’t know what they truly want, and they are in a state of confusion between logic thinking and emotional thinking.
Intrapersonal skills is just as important as interpersonal skills.
But often intrapersonal skills is harder for people, because it requires self-reflection, and brutal honesty at times.
Oftentimes the root of a problem comes from something personal, but it’s easier to blame others to avoid accountability.
Keep stacking!
As an Adult, it’s perfectly fine to admit and say “I don’t know” when you’re asked a question.
Too often, people don’t want to admit they don’t know, and instead of trying to find someone that knows the answer.
Instead, they spew nonsense, and that ultimately leads both individuals in the wrong direction.

Most athletes stop lifting in-season.
Research shows proper strength training can cut sports injury rates by 30–66%.
Here’s what I’d actually have athletes do to stay healthy and explosive during the season.
Save this, follow it!

Fact: Lateral change of direction following a ground contact is HUGE in sports
Watch sports… you’ll see it constantly
You better train it!
These are 3 great variations to do it:
1. Pulsing sprint
2. Pogo jump to lateral jump
3. Drop jump to lateral jump

🚨 NO PHONES. BEST LITTLE LEAGUE SEASON IN 63 YEARS.
A Long Island Little League team locked the kids’ phones away five hours before every game.
Result? Their best season in over six decades.
The assistant coach said it simply: when the apps and distractions disappear, the kids actually talk to each other, focus on the game, and get locked in.
The kids love it.
Structure works.
Focus works.
Phones don’t. Maybe the rest of the country should take notes.

Two kids. Same dream. Watch them grow up in 60 seconds. 🧢
One plays every sport. One plays only baseball, year-round. By 16, only one is still standing.
The science is brutal:
- 36X more likely to need surgery from an overused arm
- 7 in 10 kids quit sports in childhood — burnout
- Pro players didn't specialize until age 15 on average
- 88% of D1 athletes played more than one sport
The athlete develops. The specialist breaks down. Your kid doesn't need another $300 tournament — he needs to become a REAL athlete: velocity, size, speed and strength, built on science.

Yesterday, @KenClarkSpeed published a new paper analyzing 0-10m acceleration in 24 elite American sprinters (51 Olympic/World Championship medals combined).
Today, here's one coaching takeaway:
Don't coach 30 athletes every rep.
Pick ONE technical focus.
Watch FIVE athletes.
Coach that detail.
Repeat.
He also explains why longer contact distances in team sport athletes aren't automatically a flaw.
