That Harper study is typical of the “studies” from men who id as women - it is garbage. I have seen his presentations in person. I have debated him in person. He does not work with facts and uses self created adjustment formulas to manipulate data outcome. You really should read them yourself - they are so bad. At the conclusion of his work, he openly recognizes that male advantage is retained. It is his attempt to seem “reasonable” bc he knows the scientific data 100% proves it.
This is a good summary:
Just rereading through "Joanna" Harper's infamous study on male performance on hormones and I can't believe this was ever allowed to be published. (Harper is a man pretending to be a woman who runs in women's races himself. He has stole several national championship medals.)
Harper collected times from 8 different men over 7 years. All times were self-reported and self-selected. Only 6 of the 8 had times that could be verified and even then less than half of those times could be verified.
So already, we have a sample size too small to be meaningful and men who could pick and choose their times (it would be simple to just provide times from a bad race day) which were not able to be verified. Okay.
Runner 7 markedly improved his times, dropping almost an hour off his marathon. Harper threw out the rest of his times, declaring him an "outlier."
Is it possible to have an outlier with a sample size of 8?
We learn that Runner 4 had several injuries and his training suffered, and Runner 5 experienced a large weight gain and lost motivation to train.
Runner 6 provided a male time from when he was 24 years old. His "female" time came from a race when he was 53.
All times from the "female" races occurred when the participants were older than the times from "male" races. Harper says the runners reported "relatively stable" training habits, but does not specify what those habits are or give any indication that the training habits were recorded at any point or verifiable in any way.
He claims that the race times worsened "significantly" after the men started using wrong-sex hormones, but the largest difference in 5k times, for example was around four minutes.
A quick glance at several random athletic.net profiles shows that high school cross country runners who have incredibly consistent training (with a coach, no less) can have 5k times that fluctuate between 1 to 3 minutes on average between two months. Harper is taking times from different years from recreational athletes who do not have consistent training regimes.
At the end of the study Harper claims that, despite having 1 man who got faster, 2 men who got worse due to injury and weight gain, and 5 men who all got slower as they aged, had no verifiable training regimes, and submitted self-selected times that demonstrated a typical fluctuation in running time, that the study makes "it possible to state that transgender women run distance races at approximately the same level, for their respective gender, both before and after gender transition."
He also says that the study "makes a powerful statement" to support the idea that "it is fair to allow to transgender women to compete against 46,XX women in all sports"
Meanwhile, I've got a sample size of over 600 hundred saying otherwise...

The London Marathon is considering male pacemakers for next year's elite women's race, to target Ruth Chepngetich's controversial world record of 2:09:56.
The British capital is famous for women's-only world records but organisers state that a mixed race is possible in 2027.
The likes of Paula Radcliffe (2:15:25 – 2003) and Deena Kastor (2:19:36 – 2006) both won the London Marathon with male pacemakers.
I have seen quite a bit of Kerfuffle about this…however…..on reading the article I do not thinking that they are suggesting that males run in the female category. My reading is that they are proposing that male runners and pacemakers run at the same time as the women’s race in a bid to improve times.

It still astonishing me every single day how easily we gave up women’s fair & safe sport for a few male feelings! And there are still sports organisations not caring one jot about the rights & equal opportunities of their female athletes.
The world No. 1 in women's tennis, Aryna Sabalenka, unleashes a devastating and unfiltered statement: "It's vital to protect fairness. Biologically, men are much stronger than women. It's not fair. It's not equality. It's not women's sports if we let biological men compete against us." She sides with Sophie Cunningham and sends a clear message: women are not going to keep staying silent while they steal our titles, podiums, and opportunities from us.

This is how to bring your sons up. What a fabulous advocate for girls @andy_murray is and what a credit to @JudyMurray.
“Daddy, why don’t girls play football?”
@Womeninsport_uk found 45% of girls say sport is seen as “for boys and doesn’t matter for girls”
Want girls to stay in sport?
Media : Girls need to SEE female role models.
Dads : be like @andy_murray - watch it with your daughters. 1/
Thankfully world sporting bodies are one by one ensuring that the female category in sport is protected as we clearly cannot rely on @UKLabour to protect women’s sport.
@andyburnham
An amendment to the sporting events bill was defeated by Labour voting against it. @louie_french (and I as I suggested it in The Lords) Conservative shadow sports minister wanted int. events brought to this country to insist the female category is protected as the ioc does, & the uk Supreme Court ruling stipulates .. sadly Labour doesn’t seem to care if our girls get fair sport

Exactly.
Like here from England Athletics - “we understand that this [males no longer being allowed to compete in F cat] may be upsetting for transgender athletes..”
Zero sympathy or understanding for all the females who suffered unfairness & lost out to men for years.
It is almost as if there are differences between men and women even after a woman takes testosterone. A team of transmen lost 19-0 in a lower league match while the Flying Bats fielding at least 5 males in a women’s team dominated their league 🤔

Absolutely mind blowing. What on earth were they thinking?
NEW: The biological boy on the Camas High School cross-country team was assigned to a room with a girl.
According to Clark County Today, during the trip to Arlington, the team members were lodged in a hotel at the expense of the Camas SD, and the biological male shared a hotel room with a girl member of the Camas team.
At least one member of the team quit after the events of the weekend, and others have left the team throughout the course of the season.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Clark County Today report cited here has been corrected: the biological male stayed in a hotel room with a family member, not a girl on the Camas team. The outlet regrets the error in the original report.

I’m loving what these groups of young women are doing in the US. It takes courage to stand up and these girls have it in spades.
🚨INCREDIBLE: Tumwater High School girls track team stood on the podium at the Washington state championships in Tacoma wearing shirts that read “Keep Women’s Sports Female.”
The moment came after a transgender athlete from East Valley High School in Spokane, Veronica Garcia, competed in multiple girls’ events and won a state title. Tumwater’s girls had beaten Garcia’s relay team in a prelim before finishing outside the top spots in the final.
Tumwater’s school board had earlier passed a resolution seeking to limit girls’ events to biological females after the district faced a federal investigation over a game involving a transgender athlete. The shirts drew immediate attention, with some calling them a protest for fairness and others labeling them anti-trans.
The girls wore the message on the medal stand. This is incredible bravery!👏🏾
We wrote to Netball Scotland in May 2025 with regard to their transgender inclusion policies. At the time they responded saying that they were reviewing their policies and were awaiting the update EHRC guidance and Code of Practice.
It is now 2 years since World netball updated its policies, 18 months since the SC decision in FWS and 2 months since the updated EHRC Code of Practice came into force.
We have again written to Netball Scotland to ask when they expect to complete their review and what changes if any they expect to make to current policies.
Netball Scotland has been reviewing its Transgender policy since @WorldNetball_ protected the female category in April 2024
Over two years later, their Male Participation statement still says;
“Transgender boys and girls should be accepted in the gender they present” 1/

The 1st course record for @RRRunnersUK - well done, James!! 💪👏👌
Example of parkrun’s sex discrimination: I recently left the Female category bc it is a meaningless, mixed-sex category with loads of men in it. It should be the inclusion measure for females, to enable women…

One can only hope that this means a move to clarity following the joint statement of the Sports Councils in 2021 which suggested that though it was clearly unfair to include males in female sports it was up to each sport to balance fairness and inclusion.
Hopefully the legal advice now provided was clear that any policy that includes males in female sporting categories means that the category is no longer single sex but is a mixed sex category.
Whether or not a sport is gender affected where a single sex category would be appropriate is up to each sport but providing only a mixed sex category where it is clearly gender affected is likely to constitute discrimination gains females.
Replying to @SportSEENuk
“Following advice from legal counsel, and a literature review on the topic, the Sports Councils CEOs agreed that a full review is required.”
No longer can @Sport_England offer sports governing bodies a choice between including males in the female category and protecting safety, fairness and opportunity for women & girls. 2/
