Laggan dam in the Highlands of Scotland today at full discharge after 24 hours of torrential rain.
This is what 1.62 million litres (428,000 gallons) per second looks like.

Still 0 enquiries for this handsome lad. No calls, no emails, no messages.
We really cannot understand why. 😢 😢 😢 😢 😭
We try to help these animals into new homes through no fault of their own and sometimes it becomes impossible.
Please share if you can see this.
This handsome lad is still waiting for a new home.
Teddy is a 5 year old male Mastiff mix - he is available and looking for a new home.
He eats Ava sensitive skin and stomach mix from Pets at Home.
Teddy is good in the car but only use to short journeys.
He sleeps in the kitchen at night but would sometimes also sleep in his owners bed.
He is registered with the vets and can be left on his own if you need to go out.
Teddy is a big boy, he may knock small kids over, so he would suit a home with older dog savvy kids 10+.
He loves people and is good once he gets a clap, but he is wary of men wearing hats.
Teddy walks well on the lead and he use to go walking with a dog walker and was fine.
Teddy loves a ball rope, he likes to chew on the rope until it's untied.
He likes treats.
There isn't much that Teddy doesn't like, however he doesn't like the sound of metal/shutter noise as he got a fright when he was a puppy.
Teddy loves lying in bed under the covers. He would be best in a home with no other pets or cats.
He isn't really fussed by other dogs when he is out walking.
Teddy knows basic commands.
For more information or to offer Teddy a new home please email [email protected]
Sorry we are unable to accept messages to the page regarding pets for rehoming, please email the address above.

The good news is that the vast majority of our train services are expected to run as normal on Monday. 🚆
Teams using specialist equipment will carry out essential safety checks on the remaining affected lines. Because of this, disruption may continue into Monday morning on a small number of routes:
🔹 Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh
🔹 Inverness to Thurso/Wick
🔹 Glasgow Queen Street to Fort William/Oban
🔹 Ayr to Stranraer
We're working closely with Network Rail Scotland to get these final lines reopened as quickly as possible. Safety remains our absolute priority, and trains will only resume when the tracks are fully cleared and checked. 👷♀️👷♂️
If you are travelling on Monday, please allow extra time and check your entire journey on the ScotRail app or website. 📱
Thank you again for your patience and understanding while everyone on the ground works hard to get Scotland's Railway fully open. 🙏

Travelling tomorrow? An update from Scotland's Railway as most train services are expected to run normally on Monday, following #StormBoelo.
We are asking passengers to check their journey before they leave the house at nationalrail.co.uk or with their train operator.
📣 Most train services are expected to run as normal on Monday as Scotland’s Railway recovers from #StormBoelo, although we’re asking passengers to check before travelling as some disruption will continue. More ⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

Thank you to Emily for these lovely photos of Zola who was rehomed back in July.
It looks like Zola loves a cosy spot and equally to keep an eye on all events outside!
Happy new home Zola.

A few memorable - and hysterical - moments with Cloris Leachman, in "Young Frankenstein"....How anyone made it through a scene without collapsing in hysterics, I shall never know.....

So this raccoon in Zion, Illinois got so fat he literally got stuck in a sewer grate. Like, half in, half out, and going nowhere.
Somebody saw him and called the cops. The officer shows up, takes one look, and basically goes, “Yeah… this guy’s been eating way too good.”
They try to pull him out. Nope. He’s stuck. Animal control shows up with their little poles. Still nope. The raccoon is just too round.
So they call the city guys. Those dudes have to lift the whole grate off so the fat raccoon can finally get free. He walks away totally fine. The cops said he was healthy and ready for winter.
He waddles off like nothing happened.
The officer who got there first was apparently more scared of the raccoon than the raccoon was of him.

449 years ago today, a royal commission was issued at Holyroodhouse authorising the apprehension of a long list of people suspected of witchcraft and other serious crimes. Most of those named came from communities across Easter Ross.

Around 1500, Hieronymus Bosch painted sheet music on a sinner's bare butt in hell. 500 years later, someone transcribed and performed it. Now you can hear the original butt song from hell.

Imagine being an associate professor & assessing this badly written, ill thought out self indulgent drivel praise worthy...
It drips with sexism
Men with nice fake tits must be regarded as women & the bad 'terfs' who say "no he isn't" shamed
Today we published one of the best things I've read on the trans debate. Free of the usual acrimony that surrounds these issues, it's compassionate, clear-eyed, and a partisan only of evidence and reason. By @Edokwin. Check it out:
