The same political establishment has governed Lagos for almost 30 years, yet look at the condition of Nigeria’s highest internally generated revenue state.
Yesterday, on my way to Lekki, it started raining. Within minutes, everywhere started flooding. Watching it happen in real time was jarring.

This is the same country paying 'warlords' billions to guide the pipelines.
It's such a shame that in this era n time, veterans n others who served this country are still begging for their peanuts to be released, when senators n other lots are playing on real issues.

Check the meaning of “coalition.” Once you do, you’ll realise that two presidential candidates (Obi and Kwankwaso) running together is a coalition. In fact, by definition, the NDC is the real coalition.

The funny part is that the North Korean guy that was arrested was later release with apologies when North Korean military kidnapped a bunch of U.S marines.
They didn't make it public cos it was a big disgrace.

The English language gives room for nuance that allows for balance between hyperbole and being literal.
Can we try this statement instead:
In Nigeria, pregnancy *can be seen as* a death sentence.
This leaves room for those who want to see it to see it. Those who don't want to see it, should not see it.
But here are the atrocious facts. Nigeria is number 2 in infant mortality in the world. Just after South Sudan and before Niger and Somalia.
Nigeria is number one in maternal mortality in the world. Before Yemen, South Sudan, Afghanistan, etc.
These are per 100,000 births.
When it comes to absolute numbers we are barely behind India, with half a million child deaths. And 5 time India Ina maternal mortality.
India is 10x our population.
In whatever way you slice and dice it, it is a very terrible situation and it remains unacceptable.
@officialABAT has no care for mothers or children which is why his government rather squanders money via frivolities. @dayoisrael is happy to mock the poorest of the country too.
So while we argue about phrasing of statements, we can all agree we should not continue with the status quo and the first step will be to kick out @OfficialAPCNg from power.

You guys if Tinubu wins again we are finished. God won’t save you, whatever you worship won’t save you, the money you think you have right now won’t save you. We would be entirely and totally fucked.

The average Nigerian lives for about 54 years, while the Japanese can expect to live for about 90 to 100 years, Singaporeans for 83 years, and Canadians for 82 years. Does this mean that God is more eager to receive Nigerians into heaven than He is to receive the Japanese, Singaporeans or Canadians? Or have we created a society in which death arrives earlier for some than it does for others?
A Nigerian may spend 40 fewer years on earth than a Japanese person. Forty years! An entire lifetime of birthdays, conversations, dreams, family gatherings and opportunities, lost to a difference that cannot simply be explained away as the will of God.
Perhaps we should stop looking towards heaven for answers to questions that demand answers from those governing us on earth. The policies of the man sitting in Aso Rock affect the hospitals we enter, the food we eat, the water we drink, the jobs we find and the conditions under which we struggle to survive.
Until Nigerians understand that leadership is not merely about who occupies the presidential seat, but also about how long and how well the people live, we may continue to mistake a failure of governance for a decision of God.

I wish this was fake but this is the truth of Islam:
"A wife must have sex with her husband even if she is on a camel. She cannot say no. She does not do her duty to Allah until she does her duty to her husband". (Ibn Majah 1853)
Her yes or no does not matter. Beauty of Islam.

The only way I won’t be sending the Uni. of Sunderland an email about @FotoNugget’s religious extremist tweets is if I don’t get my hands on those tweets as evidence, since he’s deleting them!
You preach Sharia & all kinds of religious fanaticism in Nigeria, then run to the UK. Why didn’t you go & study in Afghanistan?
You bloody bastard!
