Taxes are like Christmas exchanges where everyone has to chip in $25 except the person who doesn't have the money, then some people get a $5 gift decided by a committee.
And when you point this out, people yell at you saying you think the person who couldn't afford the $25 deserves to die after a long bout of cancer.

My fellow citizens of the free world,
I stand before you not as a politician seeking power, but as a human being who still believes in something simple and sacred:
That every nation has the right — and the duty — to protect its own people first.
If I were British, I would vote Restore.
If I were German, I would vote AfD.
If I were Italian, I would follow Giorgia Meloni without hesitation.
And if I were American, I would vote Republican. Every single time.
Not out of hatred.
Not out of fear.
But out of love.
Love for the country that raised me.
Love for the culture that shaped me.
Love for the children who will inherit whatever we leave behind.
There is a force in this world — quiet, patient, and immensely powerful — that has decided our nations must be broken.
It does not come with tanks.
It comes with open borders, with endless guilt, and with the soft language of “human rights” and “equality.”
It uses people from distant lands as instruments.
It tells us that to resist is to be cruel.
It tells us that to prefer our own people is to be evil.
And so the left sings its beautiful songs of compassion…
while our cities change beyond recognition,
while our women walk in fear,
while our children are taught to be ashamed of their own history,
and while the very idea of a people, a homeland, a shared destiny is slowly erased.
They promise utopia.
What they deliver is something much darker.
A future where free nations collapse into managed chaos…
and where the only ones left standing are the strongmen who never believed in our soft illusions —
the Putins, the Xis, the Kims, and the African dictators who laugh at our self-destruction.
Is that the future you want?
To become the servants of those who never pretended to care about “diversity”?
I am not against the world living in peace.
I am not against friendship between nations.
I am not against human kindness.
I am against the deliberate destruction of the only homes we have.
A rational human being understands a simple truth:
First, a people must be secure in their own land.
First, a nation must protect its own children.
Only then can it offer genuine friendship to others.
You cannot share what you no longer possess.
You cannot welcome the world when your own house is on fire.
So I say this with all the force of my heart:
Defend your people.
Defend your culture.
Defend your future.
Not because you hate others —
but because you still love yourselves enough to survive.
That is not extremism.
That is not hatred.
That is the most basic, most human form of love there is.
And if we lose the courage to say it…
then we will lose everything else as well.

Earlier when I posted about today being Tax Day, a few people thought I was being too bitter, and assured me my taxes were going to pay for cool shit like B-2 bombers or F-35s... Alas, no. I checked. All my taxes went toward Eric Swalwell paying hookers to sign NDAs.
You may pretend that your tax money paid for Delta Force practice ammo, but we all know the truth. One third of your labor was on behalf of a Somali Quality Learing Center in Minnesota.
Feel free to put in the comments what you wanted your tax money to go toward, and I'll let you know what it was actually spent on. I am a former professional accounting type person, so you can be assured my answers will be 100% accurate.

Long post warning! Here is my reply:
And I was going to play nice. Okay, let’s do this:
Guns are Pandora’s Box.
Guns exist, and there is no changing that now.
Besides, before guns people were killing each other with crossbows. Before crossbows, it was swords and knives, and before that it was sharpened sticks and rocks.
Bad actors are always going to act badly.
Every nation in that poem has its sordid side.
England invented colonialism. France is no better. Almost all the nations listed were active participants in the slave trade. In fact, Brazil shipped more slaves than anyone because of how notoriously terrible they treated their slaves. China hates Japan to this day because of the atrocities Japan committed on Chinese soil, and the same is true in reverse.
No nation is perfect.
Oh, but that’s all ancient history?
None of the nations listed enjoy the freedom of speech that you and I take for granted every day.
America is still the freest country on the planet. Why? Because some plucky colonists had guns.
King George tried to take away their guns, and thankfully they said no.
Hitler took away guns right before the holocaust.
Firearms are the great equalizer and world leaders know it.
Oh, but gun violence, you say!
Want to know where mass shootings don’t happen? Banks, courthouses, and federal buildings. What do they all have in common? Guns.
You want to protect our schools, make them harder targets. We protect our banks and courthouses with guns, but not our children?
The left complains about “thoughts and prayers” but scoffers at realistic solutions.
What is your solution, make guns illegal? If you want to know how that will go, let me direct you to our “war on drugs.”
Oh, but it worked for England and Australia, you say.
What do they both have in common? Most of their borders are ocean.
They don’t have a Mexico to the south ready and willing to cart in anything we can’t buy legally.
Side note: totally insane to cry “make guns illegal” while also crying “we need open borders!” That is basically inviting Mexico to make a mint off all the contraband flying in across those open borders.
Guns are Pandora’s Box.
The box has been open and the guns are out there now, with no hope of containing them. So why in the world should we make it harder for law abiding citizens to protect themselves against the bad actors who won’t care whether or not it is legal for them to be using a firearm to commit illegal acts?
America is free because of guns. Many lives have been saved because someone was conceal carrying a gun.
The tool is not the problem, the bad actor is. More people are killed in gun free zones BECAUSE only the bad actor has the guns.
Maybe point your ire where it belongs, and realize that America is the land of the free BECAUSE America is a gun.

Idiots toss seed all over the place expecting to grow crops and instead get weeds. Winners pick fertile ground and care for the soil.
If you spawn 30 kids from dozens of baby mamas, you're not a "king", you're a piece of shit. Period. You didn't win the battle of genetic supremacy either because most of those kids are gonna die in prison because they never had a dad to raise them, and their moms are the kind of trash whores who think its awesome to get knocked up and abandoned by the kind of assholes who spawn dozens of kids.
Congratulations, you just spread your DNA all through the projects/trailer park. If any of those kids succeed in life it will be in spite of their shit tier parents.
Or, crazy idea, hear me out here, you could actually create a functioning family unit, as is the tradition of most successful groups throughout all of human history, where the parents are a team and make a bunch of kids together, and then focus on providing those kids the best lives and support possible, so that those kids also go on to form their own successful family units... and that way when you're old you still have family and don't die alone and miserable.
If you take life advice from a pornographer, you're a fucking idiot.

Following Ron DeSantis' exit from the Presidential race, many 'Conservative' pundits and influencers who favored Trump (about 95% of them) have been reaching out to his supporters with conciliatory calls to unite behind the former President;
"You stupid loser DeSimps! Autistic groomer backstabbing worst Governor in America DeSantis with his Eddie Munster cancer faking c*nt wife and awful children didn't even win one county in Iowa! Ha ha! Get over it, you traitors! It's time to have a Bud Light and unite behind Trump! Do you want Biden to win?! Why do you RINO bastards hate America?!" (1/)

If you don’t vote for Trump, you’re voting for Biden!
It’s a binary choice!
Unite!
No, I’m not. No, it isn’t. No, I won’t.
Months to go ‘till November and I’m fed up with the pleas, threats, and increasingly sweaty desperation of the Trump camp as the reality of what will happen sinks in.
So, the first charge, a popular meme that half-wits are now throwing around. It’s a bully tactic combining guilt and some vauge threat, which I guess is par for the fetid political stench that Trump and MAGA have normalized.
My refusal to vote for Trump does not equate to a vote for Biden. Let me flip this faux logic on its head: I’m not voting for Biden. Does that equate to a vote for Trump? Yes? No? Please explain. I’ll wait.
Then there’s the “binary choice” claim. This one rankles because it is so stupid. Binary means two options. But there will be more than two options for president on the November ballot, RFK Jr being the likely third big name if he manages to get on more ballots. But there will be other names. And there will be a blank line for write-in votes. Not voting is an option. I'm considering at least one of the above. There are plenty of options. It's not binary.
Side note: In computer science “binary" means using 0 and 1 in a virtually infinite array of sequences. Two simple integers that now run much of the world. But it doesn’t work with a 0 and another 0. Which is what we’ll have in November if the “binary choice” people are only talking about Biden and Trump.
Finally, the “Unite!” schtick. I posted on that already (teapawt.net/rockisland250/st…) but a quick addendum.
Watching Trump’s behavior since Iowa convinces me he is one of the worst candidates to run for the presidency. Ever. In either party. He has atrocious character defects. There’s the likelihood of a conviction. The complete lack of accountability for major failures when he was president. The insanely erratic “policy positions” on the few occasions when his early-dementia-stage brain slurs them out. The manipulation of a corrupt media. The scum who surround him, lavishing him with praise that he clearly needs. The visceral hatred of Trump by that big middle swath of last-minute voters who will decide the election.
It also hit me that I might just agree with Dems who call him dangerous. Maybe not for the same reasons. He’s not Hitler. But his amoral, irrational behavior, his pathological narcissism, the lack of guardrails if he were to get back into the WH (i.e., no re-election concerns), the perfidious grifters he’ll pick for staffers because no talented, moral people will work for him….
At best, very little if anything of lasting value will get done. And likely worse: a chaotic circus with bad decisions and maybe fatal mistakes that could end this nation even sooner than expected. BTW, Trump already suggested suspending the Constitution when it interfered with his will in 2020. Any thoughts on this, anyone? Any trepid Fox reporter going to ask him about that?
So are Trumpers going to pin the coming Trump loss on #neveragaintrump conservatives? Looks that way. I don't care. Because it's not my fault if he loses.
The fact that Republicans are picking this man again—by overwhelming margins, when they had an obviously superior "option" in DeSantis—is a game ender for me. Only a people in deep denial, suspending any belief that choosing someone like this is the mark of a late-stage empire, could pick Donald Trump to lead them. I can’t wrap my head around it. And I won't be bludgeoned into going along with the "binary choice" and "Unite!" bullshit.
We all have individual choices to make, guided by conscience and free will. If you want to vote for Trump, it’s your choice. My choice is that I am not checking the box next to that man’s name.
Trump, "Unity," and The Cave
It looks like the beatings will continue until morale improves.
I can’t open my feed now without seeing posts from the “unity” crowd with some plea, threat, or snotty “just do it” message about the requirement to vote for Trump. All smelling of sweaty desperation, and all aimed (odd, isn’t it?) at DeSantis supporters. A tiny sampling:
Vivek: “We have a country to save… If you believe the president of the United States owes a duty to this country, not another one, you have one choice.”
Kurt Schlichter: “The choice is binary.”
Ryan Fournier (Students for Trump): “Vote for Donald J Trump. Do it.”
JD Sharp (random Trumper with a somewhat large following): “… you either back the party in the general, or you’re supporting the other party.”
David Limbaugh (sharing the name but not the wisdom of his brother): “How can people… criticize Trump now that the primary is over and DeSantis himself now supports Trump? … I love you all, please we must come together.”
Of course, Trump’s paid posse of possessed demons is still very active, their heads spinning 360 degrees and vomiting pea soup threats that apparently are supposed to make us submit or something.
I stuck it all in a shredder, taped the strips together, and got this:
“Hey we respect your vote for DeSantis he’s a great guy but he’s gone now you need to vote for Trump because DeSantis endorsed him let’s unite we need to save The Country hey why are you hesitating don’t say mean things about Trump he’s our only hope umm you should not talk about Trump’s polls and trials and dementia and adultery and election losses and who do you think you are saying that what are you some kind of leftist don’t you care about The Country do you want Biden to win you filthy commie scum we will find where you live and you’ll regret your treason you fuckers and we’ll make sure your cowboy boot wearing little man is run out of town.”
OK. How did we get to this?
Thinking back on the top GOP leaders in my lifetime: Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush I, Dole, Bush 2, McCain, Romney. And Trump. How many pushed an actual conservative agenda? Nixon, sort of, but with fatal flaws and that nasty war and even nastier exit. And Reagan, who was in the Oval Office….. 36 years ago. It’s been one long slide downhill since then, putting us in a cul-de-sac with an aging, corrupt, amoral thug preening like a modern-day Duce.
The people haranguing us make me think of Plato’s Cave. You know, the story of the humans chained in a dark cave, facing the same wall all their lives, thinking the shadows of objects cast on the wall are the real thing. When led outside, they’re blinded by the light, and when told that the real objects are reality, they don’t believe it, they’re frightened by it, they run back to the safety of The Cave. Back to what's comfortable, to what they know.
So they lash out. And insult the intelligence. Like, DeSimps are too dumb and naive to see the Democrat/marxist takeover of our society.
And that Donald Trump, an aging, fatally flawed former Democrat, has what it takes to fight for us.
If he’s elected. Which won't happen. But, OK, devil's advocate: A black swan event gets him elected.
Unburdened by thoughts of getting re-elected, he'll spend four sunset years golfing with his Saudi buddies at MAL and forgetting what day it is and partying with 36-D babes while Loomer runs press conferences, Poso runs the WH as chief of staff, and Caitlin advocates for DEI hires in the Pentagon and tampon dispensers in the Oval Office.
The unity crew knows this is likely. They won't say it. But most of them know it.
I’m not calling DeSantis a savior or light bringer. That language is for MAGA cultists and Obama worshippers.
DeSantis was, and is, better than that. He is a real-life, once-in-my-lifetime politician, versed in our history and our Constitution, with a proven record demonstrating the principles and smarts and energy to explain and lead and act and ultimately halt our country’s rapidly accelerating decline.
DeSantis and a very few conservatives, like @RepThomasMassie and @chiproytx, are why, to a large degree, I’m now a Never Trumper. Who knows, without DeSantis in the race I might have resigned myself to voting for Trump again, if that’s all there was.
But DeSantis gave us a real choice: Continue the downhill slide or go in a new direction.
The unity crowd made their choice. I’ve made mine. I’ve seen politicians I can get excited about, who offer a way out with visions that I share. I don’t know where it’s going. But I’ll go with them to find out.

Yeah, that "wait your turn" narrative is bullshit too. That's not how any of this stuff works.
That argument is designed to play to people who buy into the inevitable coronation nonsense. Normally Americans think primaries are a good thing, because we ain't fucking British.
Worst case scenario for RDS, he loses to Trump, Trump loses the general, then goes see I told you so in '28 when he comes back with more primary campaign experience. In the extremely unlikely event Trump wins the general (which gets even less likely after the dems convict him of a felony), then he's one term regardless, and if the last time was any indication, he'll spend most of that getting rolled and manipulated by dems anyway.
And nobody buys into the Magadonian's bullshit like Loomer's stasi style "list of traitors" who will never be allowed to work in politics again for failing to kiss sufficient ass, because Trump's faithful are faithful to Trump but have the memory of a turnip (hell, this week they think Chip Roy and Ted Cruz are RINOs while Lindsey Graham and Ronna Romney are great Americans) and he's 80.
The real piss poor judgement here is from Trump, who is willing to gamble America's future on his giant inflated ego and sense of entitlement. Because the democrats are gonna fucking roll him again, the great mushy middle despises him beyond comprehension, and regular Americans are who will pay the price for his hubris.
Replying to @GenZVall @monsterhunter45
I thought DeSantis was a great governor but he showed piss-poor judgement in getting into this cluster of a race this cycle.
And piss-poor judgement we do not need.
