Two years ago, this man lost his child. Today, on All Saintsโ Day, he and his wife went to visit their sonโs grave. He visits it every single day, always parking his car in the same spot.
It was there that he was detained and handcuffed by Tuskโs police officers. The reason? Allegedly improper parking (even though he had actually parked legally) and not having his ID card with him. Yet Polish law does not require citizens to carry an ID card!
This man is the husband of Danuta Holecka, a well-known journalist who anchors a news program on @RepublikaTV, Polandโs largest news channel, which is critical of Donald Tuskโs government.
What happened is outrageous. Such actions are unacceptable in a democratic country governed by the rule of law.
This is a complete violation of the law!

I was called yesterday by a pound we have worked with for many years now ...
A puppy was handed in yesterday - the story was he had been 'found' - but as is so often the case, we are pretty certain the 'finder' was the owner!
The puppy, now named PIPER, had clearly suffered a a broken leg and the Council would not, understandably, be able to cover the costs of hospitalisation and repair.
Piper has spent the last 24 hours in the veterinary hospital and after x-rays confirming and splinting and pain relief he has gone to stay with the kennel owner who has become a friend over the years and will care for him in her home until Tuesday when he will hopefully have the necessary surgery to repair the leg.

Majestic Percy is searching for his new family after arriving as a stray around Christmas time.
We have been working hard to get Percyโs coat in to shape as he was very matted, this has taken some time as we have been doing small amounts to make it less stressful for him, luckily he has been very tolerant. ๐
On arrival Percy was very underweight but we are pleased to say he has been gaining weight well and after full vets checks appears to be very healthy, he certainly doesnโt act like a dog of his age.
Percy will be looking for;
๐พ A German shepherd experienced home, with excellent knowledge of managing his coat.
๐พ An adult only home.
๐พ Pet free home.
๐พ An owner who is active, Percy can be very strong on the lead but walks nicely if using a gentle leader or similar.
๐พ Ideally a semi โ rural home.
Percy is a big lad and shows typical traits of a loyal and intelligent German Shepherd, he has met new people without any issues but would benefit from bonding with a special person or two.

19-year-old Harley Purdue was a kind and gentle young man living in Chatham, Kent, England.
His family remembered him as a smart and loving young man whose life was only beginning.
Harley was preparing to become a father. His girlfriend, Hazel Gadsden, was pregnant, and the young couple had a future to look forward to together.
But in the early hours of December 2, 2025, that future was tragically taken away.
At approximately 2:40 a.m., Harley was asleep beside his pregnant girlfriend when his housemate, 18-year-old Eritrean migrant Musa Salih, knocked on their bedroom door.
Salih claimed there was a dead mouse in the basement toilet and asked Harley to help him.
Still half-asleep, Harley got out of bed wearing only his boxer shorts and wrapped in a blanket, unaware that he was walking into a trap.
Salih intended to lock Harley inside the basement toilet so he could steal money from his bedroom.
When Harley resisted being locked inside, a struggle broke out, and Salih stabbed him eight times, including a devastating wound that penetrated his lung and heart.
Hearing the commotion, Harley's pregnant girlfriend rushed downstairs and found him gravely wounded and bleeding heavily.
She desperately tried to protect him, grabbing a kitchen knife as Salih threatened them.
Emergency services were called, but Harley's injuries were too severe.
He was pronounced dead at the scene before 4 a.m.
On October 15, 2026, Salih, now 19, was found guilty of Harley's murder at Maidstone Crown Court. He is due to be sentenced on November 4.
Harley was just 19 years old. He never got the chance to hold his baby, watch his child grow up, or experience the family life that awaited him.
His girlfriend lost the man she loved, his family lost a cherished son, and his unborn child was deprived of a father.
